what is the rank required in JEE Mains for obc category for admission in LD college for electrical engineering?

Sevit Kar 19th Jul, 2022

Hello,

For taking admission in LD College for electrical engineering, you need to apply through GUJCET and according to the state merit list prepared by the authorities you would given a state rank and if you clear the cut off range then you can take admission in that.

However certain conditions varies every year like:-

  1. Choices filled by the candidates
  2. Number of applicants in the counselling
  3. Previous year cut offs
  4. Vacant seats in college

The cut off for the electrical branch for the last year have been somewhat around 4k. So, this rank should be attained by you atleast.

Will I get diploma in Electrical Engineering if I have passed (ICSE)10th grade with 70% marks?

Arhana Chakraborty 19th Jul, 2022

The eligibility criteria for the Diploma in Engineering courses changes from college to college. Although, if we are concerned with the eligibility criteria then in most of the college, the students needs to score 60% at least in order to be eligible for the course of Diploma in engineering. Now you are eligible for the course of Diploma in Engineering course, although you will get a seat or not based on the merit of ICSE 10th score is an question no one can accurately answer because, every year the density of marks applying for the admission varies. You have a decent score, and you have a moderate probability to get a seat. I would suggest you to see if there is any entrance examination available for the admission. If yes! then appear for the entrance because that will increase your probability of getting selected.

Aditi Singh 17th Jul, 2022

HEY STUDENT!

So as you mentioned, your percentile in JEE MAINS 2022 is 94.99 and this might lead to a rank of ~76k in CRL. The actual rank may vary according to number of students along with the final official rank list.

Since, you've completed your 11th and 12th from Jharkhand, you'll be eligible to take admission as home state quota from Jharkhand itself. Considering the reservation in EWS category, you have chances to get admission to colleges mentioned below which are based on previous year data.

  • NIT -PATNA
  • IIIT- BHAGALPUR (MECHATRONICS)
  • BIT MESRA (MECHANICAL)
  • NIT AGARTALA (CIVIL ENGG.)
  • NIT -AP ( MECHANICAL)
  • IIIT MANIPUR (ECE / CSE)
