AMIE is possible for electrical engineering
Hello Aspirant,
I hope you are doing well.
AMIE is a B.Tech level examination in engineering, recognized by all State Governments, Central Govt., AICTE, UPSC etc as equivalent to B.E/B.Tech. That means, those who pass AMIE examination will get equal opportunities for job as well as higher education in both Govt. and private sectors, just like a B.E or B.Tech holder. The Institution of Engineers (India), the largest multidisciplinary body of engineers in the country is the authority that prepares syllabus, conducts examination and issue certificates etc. of AMIE.
No doubt electrical engineering is a popular field of study for many students in colleges across the country. Through AMIE one can readily obtain a degree in engineering without attending any regular college .

i have done my diploma in Electrical and Electronics.I have to join Bsc please suggest the collegs.
hello aspirant,
I hope that you are doing absolutely great.
With reference to your above mentioned query, I would like to tell you that you can very much do Bsc after completing diploma in Electrical and electronics. You can get Bsc in Computer science or any other course in BSc in lateral admisison after doing and completing diploma in Electrical and electronics. But the only thing that will be difficult for you is the subject because you need to shift directly from Electrical and Electronics to Computer science. But, i'm pretty sure you can do that.
Further below are some of top universities in India for doing Bsc degree in lateral entry :
- Banaras Hindu University.
- Allahabad University.
- Delhi University.
- Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
- Aligarh Muslim University.
- Anna University.
- Lucknow University.
- Mumbai University.

my father is retired from CRPF ( central reserve police force ) which is under CAPF .I completed diploma in Electrical Engineering from Govt poly amravati . Now I want to take admission in Direct second Year for ENGINEERING in MAHARASHTRA .Am I applicable for the Defence Quota which is of 5% ???
yes you can take admission into the 2nd year of engineering directly after completing your diploma, this is the lateral entry scheme. even then you have to clear the entrance test and get through merit. in the merit list, there will definitely be the defense quota and you are eligible for it.
i got 86.17% in my diploma. can i get admission to direct second year of electrical engineering at spce ? what is the fees/year for SC for the same ?
yes, you can take direct admission into 2nd year in electrical engineering. this is the lateral entry process and this depends on whether you clear the admission entrance exam or not. you can also get in through the management quota but clearing the entrance is better. the fees is about 1.6 lakh
today was the final result of my diploma in electrical power system. i got 86.17% aggregate. can I get admission for electrical engineering or else electronics & telecommunication engineering in DIRECT SECOND YEAR of VJTI college ?
there are hardly any colleges that award admission on the basis of diploma marks. it is advisable that you answer a national entrance and take admission, there is a scheme of lateral entry that allows you to directly join 2nd year but that is only possible if you are pursuing 1st year in engineering in that college
