My son got 2634 OBC-NCL rank in jee mains 2022. Will he get electronics and communication branch in NIT Trichy? What are all the other chances within NIT Trichy? Does Electrical and Electronics have a good reputation like ECE? Please suggest.
Hello Sir/Mam,
As we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2021 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that the closing OBC rank for National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli in 2021 was around 2600 so with the mentioned OBC rank he has chances to get ECE in National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli under Home state quota. Also with such rank he can get following branches under Home state quota in National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli :-
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Instrumentation and Control Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Metallurgical and Materials Engineering
- Production Engineering
You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

Hello aspirants
For every year the cutoff mark varies based on the factor such as
- The difficulty level of the test paper.
- The number of seats available.
- The number of applicants.
- The number of test-takers.
- Previous year cutoff trends
However based on the previous year cutoff (2021)
In amrita college Coimbatore for
- ECE the last rank for open quota is 2747 and the closing rank for state quota is 16407
- CSE the last rank for open quota is1813 and the closing rank for state quota is 13801
By going the through the previous year rank you have the possibilites of getting seat in both of the stream. Let's hope for the best!

I am currently doing B tech Electrical and Electronuc Engineering. i am aerospace engineering so can i take gate exam in aerospace engineering stream and they give admission in iit aerospace engineering?
Hi Aspirant,
Hope you're doing well. Unfortunately, you can't take aeronautical paper. Because when it comes to admission, they won't allow you, even if you have good scores. The possible combinations of EE paper are EC, IN, PH. You can take EE as your first paper and you can choose from the above list and choose either of it for your second paper.

svnit ee and nit Rourkela mechanical engineering, which is good option
Hello,
The first factor to take into account while choosing a branch is "Interest".
Pick EE if you have an interest in electrical. Choose mechanical if you are interested in mechanics, thermodynamics, automobiles, or aircraft.
EE will always outperform mechanical in terms of placement.
At NIT Rourkela, mechanical is a famous department. SVNIT Rourkela In NIT, EE is superior to Mechanical. Rourkela.
SVNIT EE is better than Mechanical in NIT Rourkela.
Thank You

Hello Aspirant,
On such percentile it is quite difficult to get seat in any of the NITs/IIITs even after considering your OBC quota.
As per your percentile in JEE-Main 2022,
>>>>> your CRL rank is expected around 132274 - 148695 .
Now on such CRL rank you can have chances in following colleges based on your JEE-Main rank :-
NBN Sinhgad School of Engineering, Pune
Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Aurangabad
Fr. C. Rodrigues Institute of Technology, Navi Mumbai
Bajaj Institute of Technology, Wardha
Trinity Institute of Innovations in Professional Studies, Greater Noida
To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your JEE-Main rank/score you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-
https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer
But o n such percentile, being an OBC-NCL candidate you have very good chances to qualify for JEE-Advance 2022 but still the cutoffs for this year have not released yet officially.
As the cut-offs are released along with the JEE-Main 2022 result so for now you can get an idea from JEE-Main 2021 qualifying cut-offs that are enlisted below :-
==>> Common Rank List (CRL) - 87.8992241-100.0000000 Percentile
==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 46.8825338-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 34.6728999 87.8474721 Percentile
==>> PwD - 0.0096375-87.8273359 Percentile
Note that in above table it is not the actual cut-off for JEE-Main 2022 but previous year's cut-off.
