Im from Odisha. passed 12th board at 2020, want to give OJEE, For Btech admission in State Govt Colleges (engineering colleges, cse branch) Am I eligible? How to prepare for OJEE and where can I get PYQs ?
Hello Aspirant,
As per the eligibility criteria of OJEE, some points are defined that need to be satisfied by the candidate to be eligible for OJEE and those points are as follows :-
** The candidate should be an Indian citizen or if NRI/PIO then he/ she would be only eligible for supernumerary seats.
** There is no age limit to appear for OJEE so candidate belonging to any age group can appear in OJEE except for that of Marine engineering for which maximum age limit is 22 years.
** The candidate should have passed class 12th or equivalent examination either from Odisha or any other state of India with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and also there should be one language subject along with Chemistry or any other subject in his/her curriculum.
** The candidate should have scored minimum aggregate of 45% in class 12th (40% for reserved category)
So on the basis of above points you are eligible for OJEE even if you have passed your class 12th in 2020, provided that you must satisfy other points as well.

Good Luck!!
when can I able to join engineering colleges, although it had begun but our jee exams and all others are not completed yet?
Dear Student,
Only direct admissions are started and the some private university also started taking admission according to their own entrance exam but the admissions in IIT/NIT/IIIT will only be started once they complete their every. So if you are thinking to take admission in NI/IIIT then you need to wait till JEE mains ends and for IIT you need to wait for JEE advance.
I don't think you need to worry about the admissions as the exams are still going, they will start the admission process only when they complete the entrance part.
And if you want to take admission in private colleges without JEE then definitely you can take through direct admission as they are running.
Good Luck :)
do engineering colleges reduce number of seats in their institute every year
Hello student,
Engineers still account for 80 percent of all seats in technical education (which includes architecture, management, hotel management and pharmacy among others) in the country despite the steep decline.
Recent AICTE data shows that engineering seats at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma levels have fallen to 23.28 lakh – the lowest number in at least ten years — according to AICTE. 1.46 lakh fewer seats are available this year as a result of institute closures and lower admission capacity. In 2014-15, the AICTE-approved schools had approximately 32 lakh seats available for engineering students. As a result of the consolidation that began seven years ago, institutions have been forced to close because of a diminished demand. Approximately 400 engineering colleges have ceased operations since then. Since 2015-16, at least 50 engineering colleges have shuttered every year, with the exception of last year, when Covid's disruption was first noticed. AICTE has approved the closure of 63 projects this year.
