yes. since 2018, UPSC allows aspirants to give papers in different languages.

These options will be available when you fill out the prelim application form. UPSC requests optional subject and medium for both GS and Essay papers, as well as Optional subject separately in the preliminary stage. So you have plenty of time to prepare and practice your chosen language.

Furthermore, if you write your GS papers in English but want to interview in Marathi, that option is available. However, if your medium for mains is Marathi/regional languages, you cannot choose English for the interview.

So, go ahead without hesitation or concern if you are more comfortable writing in English for Optional and confident writing in Hindi or any other regional language for GS and Essay papers (VIII Schedule languages).

The entrance exam for PG level in any subject tests your knowledge and understanding of your subject in graduation which is English subject during your B.A. You can go through the History of English Literature. Select a detailed yet simple book like Andrew Sander's to start with. You must be good with all the movements, ages and individuals related to them.

Primarily questions want to test your understanding of a specific age and its impact or characteristics or both on the Literature of that time. Understand significant authors and some of their works. Also, you need to be strong in the basics of Literary Criticism and Theory. You will primarily encounter essay type problems from these two main areas.

These exams will require your viewpoints, analysis, critique, and remarks about English Literature. You need to validate your answers with examples from topics or citations. Scoring will be higher.

Yes! UPSC allows the candidate to appear for the GS papers & the optional papers to be in different medium. So if you wish to write your GS in english & the other papers in Hindi then also its possible.

Revolutionaries such as Sardar udham Singh , Ram Prasad Bismil , Khudiram Bose ,Lala Lajpat Rai Sukhdev, Rajguru made revolts against the forces which made them emotionally and vehicle by the growing period. A major role was played by local leaders such as Alluri Sitaram Raju, Abul Kalam Azad, Vinoba Bhave to influence the people of their regions to come together for the independence of India.

As per your query, it is not possible to write all the GS papers in Regional Language and write your Optional in English language.

The Candidates have the option to write their answers either in English or in any one of the Eighth Schedule languages except the Qualifying Language papers Paper-A and Paper-B, which they have indicated at the time of filling up of their online application form for the Civil Service (Preliminary) Examination.
