Hello sir if fms bhu is taking admission on the basis of cat score then what is the process of take admission in mba through bhu entrance
Admissions to MBA and MBA (IB) programmes are made on the basis of combined merit of Written Test (CAT conducted by IIM)-50% weightage; Academic records-20% weightage, Group discussion and Interview (conducted by FMS, BHU)- 30% weightage.Candidates are required to appear in CAT of the corresponding year and register at FMS, BHU through separate admission application form available at FMS, BHU.
BUT Admission to MBA (AB) programes is made on the basis of combined merit of Written Test conducted by Banaras Hindu University and Group Discussion and Interview conducted by FMS, BHU. Admission notification normally releases during April-May every year. The admission application forms will be sold from the Counter at Controller of Examinations, BHU, for this you need to fill admission form sold at their counter,or you can check with the college authorities too.
Hope this helps
How is fms for mba perusing students?
Hello Naina,
FMS,Delhi is one of top most colleges in india for MBA, its also said to be at par with some of the IIM's,excellent placement records, faculty etc its one of the finest MBA colleges in the country,Since 1954, it has retained its position as/among the best B-schools in India and hence attracted crème de la crème of budding managers. The 60 years history of FMS has boasted of some really high profile CXO alumni among many many who served or are serving at other leadership positions in various top MNCs, Indian conglomerates, start-ups etc. in all domains of management, placements at FMS are comparable to those at IIM ABC, also fee structure for FMS is quite reasonable when compared with most of the B schools.
So in total it is a great Bschool to pursue MBA.
Hope this helps
How much I have to score in CAT to get admission in FMS.I am doing BBA now. How much I required to score in BBA.????
Aman, to be eligible for CAT, you need a minimum aggregate of 50% in your Graduation. It is 50% for General Category and 45% for Reserved Categories. FMS Delhi usually has the highest cut offs for its 200 seat intake. The selection process includes 3 stage method. They are:
Eligibility Criteria
Group Discussion and Personal Interview
Final Selection
The basic eligibility criteria remains 50% aggregate for General Category in Graduation and 45% for Reserved Categories or equivalent CGPA from any recognised University. The percentiles in CAT are considered for the further rounds. In 2018, the weightage given for various sections of CAT have been as follows:
QA: 30%
DILR: 30%
VARC: 40%
An additional 3 marks are added to the Composite score in case of women for shortlisting. This score is used only for shortlisting Candidates for Personal Interview. The weightage for Final selection is as follows:
Personal Interview: 15%
CAT score: 60%
Group Discussion: 10%
Extempore: 5%
10th marks: 5%
12th marks: 5%
An additional 3 marks of the maximum aggregate will be added to the women candidates who have attended the Interview. Now with all this process, the cut offs is an important issue to be discussed. Previously FMS used to consider overall CAT score for shortlisting. However since the past 2 years, FMS has been giving sectional preference and weightage. VARC occupies the top position with 40% weightage. A Candidate with at least 97 sectional weightage will be shortlisted at FMS. So it is important to focus more on VARC section while not leaving other sections. Higher cut offs are due to the intensity of the competition at FMS, Delhi. Their placements speak for themselves. FMS, Delhi concluded 2018 placements with an average placement package of 22.60 Lakhs for Women Candidates. Out of a batch of 223 Students, 215 participated in Placements and all of them have been placed there by leaving FMS, Delhi at the top in 100% Placement Companies. Though 133 companies participated in Hiring process, 83 companies could make the recruitment offers.
Hey, I scored 80 percentile in CAT and got X/XII/Graduation in 62/77/63 and I am from GENERAL category. Can I get a call from FMS BHU ??
Hi Divya,
As you know that getting a seat in bhu for fms is not less then a hustle, people loses their chances even by 1 or 2 marks
As you said you have scored 80 percentile in cat exam its a good score indeed but this time the cutoff percentile for fms bhu is around 84-85, so according candidates with that much percentile will going to get a call for gd and pi rounds.
I just wanna say don't lose hope and try for some other institutions as well as there are many good mba/padma institutions out there too.
Good luck.
I got the call from IM(FMS) BHU for MBA IB program, Hows the college and its placements?
Hello, Aditya
The infrastructure of the college is okay and teachers are highly qualified, the quality of teaching is good, batch strength of 52 students in MBA and 52 in the MBA IB course. Regular seminars are conducted here, and industry people are invited during those seminars.
Placements in college are average. However, considering the ROI factor, placements are really good. Almost 90%-95% of the batch gets placed. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA.
All the best!

Hello sir mere best 4 me 58.75% kya mujhe admission mil skta h mujhe management krna h
Your chance of getting admssion in DU is pretty low as your aggregate score of best four subjects is not too good.
Sometimes the cut off is above 90% but many a times you can expect it to be 75% or greater. But it never gets lower then this.
So, it would be best if you dont hope for getting admission in DU.
Can I not take admission in FMS without entrance exam
Hi Tanuj,
I guess you are talking about pursuing MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, New Delhi? It is a highly sought after Business school due to its great faculty and huge ROI. To be eligibile for the school, you need to have a valid CAT score. You cannot enter it without the CAT score.
Hope it helps.
All the best.
