Although each year's cutoff keeps varying depending upon the level of paper, maximum marks scored by candidates. But with your score you should be able to get into it. Hope for the best.

sir, i got 96 marks and 568 Gen rank, 173 gen( female) rank and 128 EWS rank in msc geophysics .. is there any chance to get seat?
Dear Aspirant ,
You have scored a nice total of score and rank but tell me in which college you want to take admission ,
As the cutoff for different colleges is different ,
If you consider BHU then ,
I do not want to demoralize you but Bhu geophysics have nearly 40–50 seats .
Bhu geophysics program is very good and last year placement was awesome so no one left their seat .
So you may enroll for counselling and wait for the results ,
Hope this information helps you ,
THANK YOU .
which is better Masters in geophysics or pure Physics placement wise
hello aspirant,
it is really important to know that you have done your graduation from which course,if you are doing it from physics major, go for masters in pure physics,
Here are some of the best colleges in India where you can apply for masters in pure physics, as your base would be strong in the field,
if you are doing graduation in other field, go for masters in geophysics.
also note that if you have done your masters properly and got good marks , you will surely be placed,
either in-campus or off-campus.the placement criteria also depends upon the college you are choosing, so choose your college wisely as well.
hope that helps
ALL THE BEST
