The syllabus of geology and geophysics of GATE 2020 are divided into 2 parts i.e. part A and part B. Part A is the common section while part B is further sub divided into section 1(geology) and section 2(geophysics). You can download the full syllabus in detail by kindly opening the link that I have mentioned and then going to the " gate syllabus 2020 branch wise" and then clicking on the "click here" button under the download syllabus sub-heading located beside geology and geophysics.

As far as i am concerened Practising through the bhu pet sample paper 2020 would do more than enough to help you get through the exam . Put in some efforts to solve the previous year papers as well. By doing so you will get acquainted with the structure and the marking scheme of the question paper. these are easily avilable on the bhu official website. Know that you need to prioritise certain topics and subjects which need more focus. Going through the BHU PET previous year papers would give a good idea about the exam pattern.
