Do i get IIsc Banglore with 96.2 percentile OBC with an expected CRL rank 29k? and im a boy
Hello,
As you scored 96.2 percentile , i would recommend you to kindly opt for NITS/IIITs /GFTI's rather than taking admission into this college. Because the cut off for this college is very high .
You need to KVPY for the enrollment of the B.Tech course and your rank should be under 400 being from obc category.
However there are certain conditions that needs to be considered such as :-
- Choices filled by the candidates
- Number of applicants in the examination
- Number of seats in the college
- Toughness level of the paper
how many seats are there in bsc physics in iisc
Dear aspirant,
IISc offers a four year BS course and does not offer BSc in any stream individually. This means, you'll be introduced to all subjects like physics, chemistry, biology, math and engineering sciences in the beginning and then you'll have to take up a major subject in future.
There are technically 120 seats for the BS course and usually there are always less than 120 students in the batch.
Hope this helps.
what jee rank is required to get admission in IISC bengaluru?
Dear aspirant,
To get into IISc to pursue a BS degree, the cut-off is usually very high for JEE Mains stream.
1. A general category student has to get a rank of below 500 in either JEE Mains or Advanced which is usually a percentile of 99.995 for JEE Mains and above.
2. A OBC-NCL category student usually needs a cutoff of about 12 k rank in Mains (CRL) which is about 98.7 percentile or about 13k in advanced
3. A SC candidate require about 20 k rank in which is about 98 percentile in Mains or about 15 k rank in Advanced
4. A ST candidate requires a rank of about 40 k which is about 96.2 percentile or 50k rank in advanced.
All these are based on previous year trends and is subject to change based on the number of students appearing for the exam, the preferences of students etc.
Hope this helps.
how to get seat in iisc after through competitive exams like KVPY, as now it is cancelled?
Hello,
I believe there are two methods to be admitted to IISc (indian institute of science).
-You must take the kvpy test, which is offered by IISc Bangalore every year. After passing the written and interview requirements, you must submit an application for admission.
-You must pass the JEE-ADVANCED test before applying for admission. If your application is selected for further consideration, you will then be required to attend an interview and if you are chosen, you get admitted to IISc after completing grade 12.
Thank You
I got 90%ile can I get into iisc
No, you can not get a confirmation in that frame of mind with this percentile score. Your roughly rank will be more than 1 lakhs yet you should secure a position under 250 for confirmation ( or significantly more) and this you need to get 99.97 + percentile.
Hope this helps. All the best!
Is aerospace engineering mandatory to join ISRO? And what if I dont get into IISC, IIT or NIT? Will I be able to ever get into ISRO?
Hello Aspirant,
Aerospace Engineering is not mandatory to join ISRO. If you want to do engineering after 12th and after want to join ISRO then you can pursue B.Tech/ B.E. any of the following specialization-
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Aerospace Engineering
- Computer Science Engineering
- Radio Engineering and other related courses.
If you don't get into IISC, IIT or NIT, after completing your B.Tech/B.E from any Institution/college you can take the test that is conducted by ISRO. This test includes a written exam and a personal interview.
You can also join ISRO after your Post Graduation. If you don't want to do B.Tech/B.E. then you can pursue Bachelor's and Masters in Physics. After that also you will able to join ISRO.
Hope this information will help you.
how to apply my jee score in IISc application
Dear Aspirant,
You'll get an option of filling your JEE rank in the application form that'll be released online. After this you'll just have to wait for getting the rank list from IISc for which you'll have to check the website regularly. Usually you'll need a rank of about 250 if you belong to general category to get into IISc via JEE Mains score.
Hope this helps
can a Mechanical Engineer Graduate givs CEED exam as eligiblity for M.Des Product Design and Manufacturing (IISc Banglore).
Hello,
Mdes is an excellent degree for creative people, and your job and compensation will improve as a result. You can, in fact, apply for MDES.
You must succeed in the CEED, an annual design entry test. The majority of Indian schools, including NITs and IITs, accept CEED scores as proof of eligibility for MDes.
A select few universities, like IIT Kanpur and IISC Bangalore , also accept GATE scores. Engineering students have a second opportunity to apply for MDes without having to submit a CEED score.
BE, BTech, BDes, or BArch with a minimum cumulative GPA of 50 percent (pass grades for SC/ST) are required.
GATE / CEED score (70 percent weighting) with an online design aptitude test and an interview make up the IISc Bangalore selection process (30 percent weightage).
Good Luck!!
