There are a lot of things on which cut off depends and this is the reason why cut off varies every year.
The difficulty level of the question paper ,number of students appeared ,number of seats at IITs together fluctuates the cut off.
The cut off the year 2019 is not yet out.But we have detailed opening and closing rank for each branch .

Hi Bhavani, the cutoff varies every year based on various factors like number of test takers number of seats available difficulty level of exams and category of the candidate etc. However going by the past cutoffs, I am sorry but there are very less to no chances to get VLSI course in IIT Madras. This course is the most sought out and hence cutoff nearly above 800+.
i have a gate score 0f 845 (OBC) in ece gate 2019, any possibility of iit madras or iisc?
Hi Windsor, the cutoff varies every year based on various factors like number of seats available number of test takers difficulty level of exams category of the student etc. However going with the past cutoff you have very high chances to get into IISC as the cutoffs end at around 818 for 2018 and 770 for 2017. You also have high chances to get call from IIT Madras, because most of the courses there have highest of around 700 as cutoff.All the best.

You need q minimum of 5,000 general rank in JEE ADV. to get admission in IIT Madras. You need to score a minimum 55% marks in JEE ADV.

Your rank and marks are good.Based on the previous years cutoffs of IIT Madras, you have a good chance of getting admission to this college.Last year it was around 720-730 and this year it is expected to be around this range.So,be hopefull of getting it and be patient with the rounds of Counselling.

you may have less chances to get top IITs as if you belong to general category otherwise you have good chances to get IITS
