I TOOK 2 YEARS GAP BETWEEN INTERMEDIATE 1ST AND 2ND YEAR. NOW AM I ELIGIBLE FOR WRITING 1.12TH INTERMEDIATE PUBLIC EXAMS?? 2.JEE MAINS EXAM?? 3.JEE ADVANCED EXAM??
i) In north India they say 11th and 12th after completion of your 10th
ii) But, In south India (especially in Karnataka)they say 1st PUC / Intermediate and 2nd PUC / Intermediate after 10th.
This is the criteria which should be clear primarily for you, then coming to your question you are eligible for both 12th exam and JEE MAINS exam but for eligibility to write JEE ADVANCE is that, you should clear the JEE MAINS.
Clearing JEE MAINS mean that you should score above the cut off marks which will be announced by NTA.
That's it. If you have any further queries you can ask.

will jee advanced exam question fully depend on their syllabus.
Dear Aspirant,
JEE Advanced is one of the toughest engineering entrance exams which is conducted especially for admission to IITs and IISC Banglore. Being the most prestigious exam in India, the difficulty level of JEE Advanced exam paper is at its peak every year. But that doesn't mean that the exam is impossible to crack. The syllabus of JEE Advanced is based on the syllabus of 12th std.
JEE Advanced syllabus consists of topics from the subjects like physics, chemistry, and mathematics. Every year JEE Advanced exam paper consists of only these three subjects other than that they don't ask anything which is out of the syllabus. But yes, there will be some tricky and out-of-the-box questions that will make you think at a higher and deeper level.
Sometimes, questions are application-based and related to day-to-day life. So, in that case, you have to apply the fundamental basics of the subjects. The exam paper will consist of some questions which are not straightforward but are based on the syllabus.
In short, JEE Advanced paper will consist of questions that are based on its syllabus and the application theories. The only thing is that you should study the subject through all the aspects and most importantly through its application side.
I hope, you study well and crack the exam.

I am Qualified Class 12 in 2020. Can I Appear in JEE Advanced Exam in 2022?
Hi
No, you won't be eligible for jee advanced 2022
This is because,
One has a total of two attempts for JEE advanced over two consecutive years starting from the year of appearing for 12th board examination i. e as per , eligibility criteria one is eligible for JEE advanced examination only in the year in which he or she appears for 12th board examination and the next year following it.
So, with 12 th appearing year as 2020 , you were eligible for jee advanced 2020 and you are eligible for jee advanced 2021 only. Thus, not eligible for JEE advanced 2022
You can check detailed eligibility criteria of JEE advanced by visiting our page the link for the same page is provided below
https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-advanced-eligibility-criteria
If I tell you about Jee main then,
One can give JEE Main entrance examination for a maximum of 3 consecutive years starting from the year of passing 12th board examination.
Now, your 12th passing year is 2020
So, you were eligible for jee main 2020 , you are eligible for jee main 2021 , and will be eligible jee main 2022 as well .

hi.. i am divya.. i wanna ask that do the steps told by you are to be followed after passing jee mains or jee advanced exam ?? because i first want to pass jee exams and then do bsc and phd to become a professor. please answer..
Hello,
B.Sc ( Bachelor of Science) is a three years Undergraduate Courses. And you don't need to appear for JEE MAINS or JEE ADVANCED to get Admission into a BSc Course. JEE MAINS is conducted to offer Admission in various Undergraduate Engineering courses such as B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) or B.E (Bachelor of Engineering). The duration of any Course is four years.
Now, JEE MAINS is conducted the offer Admission into various NITs (National Institute of Technology) GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutions) and IIITs (Indian institute of Information Technology). Whereas to get a seat in IITs JEE ADVANCED is conducted. Remember only those candidates can appear for JEE ADVANCED who qualify JEE MAINS. To qualify JEE MAINS, Candidates have to Rank among the top 250000 rankers.
If you don't want to go for B.Tech then why want to appear for JEE MAINS and Advanced. You just need to appear for any entrance exam (If University accepts Admission on the basis of entrance exam) or your admission will be done through merit basis, it totally depends on the University you're willing to take admission into.
Good Luck.
respected sir/madam i have scored 86 and 80 percentiles so far In feb and march attempts, am I eligible for jee advanced exam?, and i belong to GEN-EWS category
Hi
Your best score out of all the attempts will be considered so 86 percentile will be considered in your case .
It's quite difficult to predict JEE mains qualifying cutoff to be eligible for JEE advanced examination as it keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like :-
*number of students that appeared in the jee main exam,
*kind of marks obtained by them ,
*toughness level of the jee main examination for different shift etc.
But yes,
When we go through previous year trend then ,
Yes, with 86 percentile being from e w s category you hold good chance to qualify JEE main in order to be eligible for JEE advanced examination .
For reference,
JEE mains 2021 expected qualifying CUT OFF percentile is given below for different categories on the basis of past year trends :
. . JEE MAIN CUT OFF PERCENTILE
Category jeemain2020 jeemain2021 expected off
General :- 90.3765335 90-95
GEN-EWS :- 70.2435518 70 -75

SC :- 50.1760245 50 -55

PwD :- 0.0618524 1- 2

From above it is clear that, last year qualifying cut off for ews category was 70.2435518 and expected jee main 2021 cut off for ews is 70-75 percentile . So with 86 percentile, you hold good chance to qualify JEE main 2021 to be eligible for JEE advanced examination

Hello,
JEE Advanced is considered to be one of the toughest entrance examinations and there is a tight competition for this exam. Students failing in the first attempt make repeated attempts. To crack JEE Advanced requires a lot of hard work.
Below I have provided some tips for preparing for JEE Mains and Advanced examinations.
-
The most important thing that has to be done first is to understand the exam pattern, the dates and the syllabus . This helps you to understand which topics you will have to spend more time on and plan your timetable accordingly.
The syllabus for JEE Advanced: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-advanced-syllabus
-
Once you get to know about the syllabus and the dates, now you can set a timetable. You can decide how many days or hours you will be keeping for each subjects, revision and to practice previous year papers and mock tests. Manage time in a way that you spend enough time on difficult topics and also ensure that you have ample time for revision and practice. SInce you do not have much time I would suggest that you select only the most important topics and cover those alone.
-
Another important thing to keep in mind is to find the correct books for you . Some books may be hard to follow, so try to get materials that are written in a student friendly language. Below I have given a link where you can find details about the best study materials
Advanced: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/best-books-for-jee-advanced
-
While studying the subjects make sure you keep note of important points and equations in a separate book . This will come in handy at the time of revision.
-
Once you are done studying the subjects start revising and doing previous year papers and mock question papers on a daily basis . This helps you to recollect the formulas, gives you an idea on where you have to improve and will also help you to manage time better. Make it a point to solve atleast one paper every day during the month you have kept apart for revision and practicing question papers.

-
Another important thing is that don’t study anything new at the last minute and this can create confusions.
-
NEVER TAKE YOUR HEALTH FOR GRANTED . Get proper sleep, eat healthy food and keep your self hydrated. Ensure that you do not stress your self too much and give enough time to relax and take breaks. Always remember that if you are stressed out then take a break as it would not bring out any good results when you put yourself in more stress.
-
Finally, on the day of the exam relax and don’t get tensed. Keep your mind clear and give the exam. You will surely be able to do well.
Following these and being completely dedicated to this, I am sure you will be able to get into one of the best IITs.
Hope this was useful.
Good Luck
