It takes 1 year to complete graphic designing diploma coarse but for bachelors it takes 4 years. And for digital marketing coarse it takes 3 years for bachelors and for diploma it takes 3 months. It totally depends on the time you are willing to invest in order to choose between bachelors and diploma.

Both the careers are good enough. In fact Digital Marketing requires Graphic design to highlight there marketing plans and strategies. In Digital Marketing you require Innovative ideas and in Graphic Design you require creative skills. You can chose any one of these.

Some of the skills required for Digital Marketing Manager are Social Media Marketing, Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Google Analytics (Web Analytics).

Skills required for Graphic Designee are Excellent IT skills, especially with design and photo-editing software. Exceptional creativity and innovation. Excellent time management and organisational skills.

The salary for both these careers have median salary range of 10 to 15 Lakhs.

Unfortunately the waitlist in SPJMIR does not move beyond 30-40 most of the time, as you are waitlisted at 52 the chances of you being selected are very low. So it's better if you look forward for other colleges and do not waste time waiting.

Although in 2018 the marketing waiting list got cleared till 60 so there's a little chance.
