Can I get addmision in Maharashtra medical colleges if I havent cleared neet but I score well in MHT-CET ???
No you cannot get admission into any medical college of Maharashtra if you have not qualified NEET UG. The Supreme Court has ruled that merit lists for admission into medical colleges under both state quota and All India quota will be prepared only on the basis of NEET UG scores. Therefore, only NEET UG scores are used to draw up the state merit list for medical colleges of Maharashtra and not the scores of MHT-CET.

Ive completed my intermediate(bi.p.c)and could you please tell me, how can I become a Neuroscient?
Multiple steps required, each more daunting:
- Study well in +2. Crack the NEET/AIIMS UG Entrance and get a good college.
- Pass all your exams in 4.5y of MBBS, preferably doing well in order to create a good CV.
- Complete 1y compulsory internship, all the while studying for NEET/AIIMS/PGI Entrance.
- Crack the PG entrance and take internal medicine (3y PG)
- Pass the MD final exam.
- Crack the DM Entrance (MCQs+ interview).
- 3y DM Neurology and pass the final exam.
- Voila! You will become a neurologist.
It is a difficult path and requires great focus. I'm at step 3 and have the same aim.
All the best for your future.
PS If you are interested in neurosurgery, AIIMS offers 6y MCh program directly after cracking PG entrance that will prevent many exams.
I also hope you are clear on, how few seats AIIMS and other reputed institutions offer for such courses and hence the competition is immense.
For kcet, it is compulsory for write the 4 subjects PCMB in kcet exam? Or it is choice for write biology for medical fields of kcet exam?
Hi Bharath,
See definitely you are not asked to take all the four subject when you want to do is Engineering because you are not accustomed to Biology obviously. If you are an Medical aspirant then you definitely have to take Biology as a subject. It is a basic thing in all the exams not only KCET. SO don't worry about it.
Good Luck !!
Is there any exam to study pg course abroad in top medical University?
Two of the most common exams that willing medical students study, in order to PG abroad are USMLE and PLAB.
You can do your MBBS from India and at the same time prepare for both these exams.
USMLE is for doing Residency under the US whereas PLAB is for the same in UK.
The pattern and form of both the exams are quite different. USMLE is generally a 3-Stage Exam whereas PLAB is a 2-Stage Exam.
Compared to PLAB, USMLE is tougher on its aspects.
But, it should be know that clearing these exams gives you a great deal of respect and opportunity to study under world class hospitals and universities. Most of the AIIMS-D and students prepare for these prestigious exams amd ace them too.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck !
If 75% attendance is not there what will happened???
Hi,
Generally for most colleges if you do not have an attendance of atleast 75%, you may not be allowed to sit for the examination of that year. But there are certain colleges which are quite liberal in this matter. So it basically depends on the college in which you are studying/going to study about the outcome of having less attendance.
