My merit rank is 151 and obc rank is 22 in NEST 2019, can i get into NISER (PHYSICS)?
Cutoff rank predicted for the year 2019 is,
For NISER Bubaneshwar,
OBC - 280.
Even in the merit list, you seem to have cleared the required rank. There is a high chance of getting into NISER, Bubaneshwar.
For the stream of Physics, you can still hope for the same. Physics might be one of the first filling courses in NISER counselling, but still there is a possibility for you, as you have got a very good rank.
The counselling is on 12th of July.

What is minimum admissible marks for each subject in NEST??
Hello Anil,
The minimum admissible marks for each subject and it's working is as follows. For each section, 20% of the average of the best 100 scores in that section will be considered as Section wise minimum admissible Score (SMAS).It means if the average of the best 100 scores in Chemistry section will be 40 out of 50, then SMAS for this section will be 40 x 0.20 = 8 marks.Hence to qualify for the merit list, you will have to get more than SMAS and even the total score should be more than the cutoff.Hope this has helped you.Thank You.

What is previous year2018 cutoff marks for niser Bhubaneswar for obc in nest exam. How many marks (estimation) would sure a seat in niser f
The previous year minimum admissible score for NEST exam was 108 i.e 90% of section wise minimum cutoff marks.
If you see the trend, they keep the cutoff marks always to be 45% of the total marks.
For example, it was 90 marks in 2016 when the total marks was 200 and it was 81 marks in 2017 when the total marks was 180.
As they vary the total marks of the examination between 180–240 so expect the cutoff to be between 80–110 marks.
But in my opinion it shouldn't bother you much as just clearing the cutoff will do you no good. Getting a seat all depends on your rank. Get a rank below 700 and you have a chance to get admitted to NISER. This would need a score of around 50–55%.
Good luck for your exams :)
