Congrats on your rank Rakesh. Hands down Electronics and Communication Engineering at NIT Surat is the best option here. I have personally visited both the colleges and looked at the administration and campus and NIT surat is definitely above. In terms of location and placement too. Placement scenario at NIT Surat is much better with 7-8LPA whereas at Raipur it's around 5LPA..

I suggest you go for NIT surat. Rest lies in your hand. Best of luck

Sorry to say that but you cannot get any NIT at this much score in your jee mains examination. I will suggest you to go for other gftis if possible and you should also look for some other private colleges also so that you can get a seat this year. Done of these are :

Chitkara University

Upes Dehradun

Amity University etc.

Well dear getting NIT Raipur with 50 percentile is very difficult and if by chance you even get it you won't get a branch worth having.

So,better you keep applying for other exams.

If your CRL is not more than 1,00,000 and it lies in within the range of 80,000 to 100,000 you can get both Metallurgy and Mining Engineering at NIT Raipur..

Now coming to the question..the closing rank mainly depends on the seats in the department.So if they decide to increase the intake.. the closing rank may also increase as a result of it.
