It totally depends on what you want to do in the future. If you want to switch to IT domain and just simple want to enjoy with a high paying package, then EIE is the way to go as it is very close to the computer science field. see both the nit are equally good. both the Nits provides almost the same facilities to their students.

As per the resources available, It shows that NIT SILCHAR,ASSAM IS BETTER THAN NIT DURGAPUR,WEST BENGAL.

The above suggestion as per the ratings given to these colleges.the rating of NIT SILCHAR is 4.2, and that Of NIT DURGAPUR is 3.7.

But NIT Durgapur provides more UG courses than NIT SILCHAR.

well in nit Silchar Overall placement is good for b tech having average package of 7.4 lakh but average package for cse as well as for ece is great. Around 100% of students are placed from the CSE branch of nit Silchar college. The highest salary package offered is 41.86 LPA. The average salary package offered is 14 LPA for the CSE branch. Top recruiters are Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Arcesium, Oracle, Samsung, etc.

NIT Silchar offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in engineering, science, humanities and 11 other departments. It is really good in terms of placements. Around 145+ companies visited for placements for the batch 2021-2022. Around 522 students out of 892 students were placed (eligible students were 734).

The highest salary package offered was 41.6 LPA, average package offered was 7.23 LPA and the lowest package offered was 1.74 LPA. Top recruiters were Amazon, Infosys, TCS, Wipro and Bajaj.
