What is the minimum clat score to get admission IN NLU in general category
Hello Saket Kumar!
Thanks a lot for your question.
There are 20 NLUs in India. While 19 of them accept CLAT score, one - NLU, Delhi - conducts its own entrance exam known as AILET.
Just like IITs and IIMs the quality varies immensely within the 20 LNU. To get an admission in top NLUs, such as NLSIU, NALSAR, NLIU, NUJS, GNLU etc is extremly competetive, while its relatively easy to get admission in other NLUs.
Based on past trends, some experts have predicted the cut off's for CLAT 2018 which ranges between 125 to 148. i.e. the minimum you should aim to score to get admission in the top 3 NLUs is 125 out of 200 marks. These are of course predictions. To get more details and previous year trends of cut off ranks for all the NLUs, please click on this link - https://law.careers360.com/articles/clat-cutoff
For NLU Delhi, you should aim to score between 90-100 (or above) in AILET if you belong to General category. For cut-off details in other categories, please refer to this link - https://law.careers360.com/articles/ailet-cutoff
Feel free to ask if you have another query.
All the best.
Can I get admission through Ailet
Hello Kartik
AILET is an entrance exam conduct by National law University Delhi and you get admission in that college only.
I hope I have answered your question.

The cut off every year changes and it helps you decide which National Law University you are eligible to get into.
There are 17 National Law universities in India and One National Law University Delhi whcih takes admission Through AILET (All India Law Entrance Test ).
If say, I sit for CLAT this year and the admissions for NLS, Bangalore close at 145. So if I score well within that range, I get the college. As rightly pointed out in other answers, it is affected by your rank and percentile.
If you want to get into any NLU in the country your rank should be within 1000 or so. If you wish to get into one of the top 3 colleges in the country it should be within 200 or so. All this is for a general category seat.
On particular achieving marks, one earns eligibility to clear the cutoffs of Law colleges across country.
Hope the information shall stand useful,
All the best!
Thank You!
What is the method for admission in nlu after graduation which type of interence ???
Hey Ayush.
NLUs or National Law Universities are law colleges that provide five year integrated courses of Law
There are 2 types of Law courses in India- 3 year LLB course and 5 year integrated law course. 3 year law courses are for those who have completed their Undergraduation. So after completion of any 3 years of Undergraduate course, you can do LLB which will be for 3 years. Hence It would take 6 years if you start with a separate UG degree. And in 5 year law course are for those who are seeking to puruse law after class 12th. It combines an Undergraduate degree with law, for example- BA LLb, BCOM LLb, BBA LLb etc. It takes 5 years after 12th class.
Admission in Nlus is through entrance called CLAT.
NLUs offer only 5 year law courses. Though you will be eligible to apply for NLUs even after graduation but it will lead to you wasting 2 years. You'll have to do a graduation degree again and it will take you 5 years to complete law where you can easily compelete it in 3 years. So after graduation 3 year LLB is more suitable. Admission to various colleges is done through their own entrance exams or procedures. Here is a list of law entrances for 3 year LLB course -
DU LLB - Delhi University
MH CET- GLC mumbai, ILS Pune and other colleges in Maharashtra
SLAT- Symbiosis Law school
PU LLB- Panjab University, Chandigarh
LSAT- Jindal global Law school, IIT Kharagpur and other private law colleges
BHU LLB- Banaras Hindu University
BVP LLB- Bharatiya Vidyapeeth
TS LAWCET Etc
Best of luck!
