my NTA score is 41.1in JEEMain 2022 , can i apply for Jee advance
If you are a general category candidate, then unfortunately you won't qualify the Joint Entrance Examination Main, which is a prerequisite to appear for Joint Entrance Examination Advanced or JEE Advanced. The cut-off for JEE Main to appear for JEE Advanced in the previous years were:
2021: 87.8992241
2020: 90.3765335
2019: 90.3765335
So, better luck next time.

Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
I have scored 48 nta score in jee mains 2022 sessions 1. I want to pursue BTech cse..pls tell me good College which have good package. it helps me a lot... category - general. and pls check any defence quota
Hello Payal,
Since you have only mentioned your marks over here, I am guessing your percentile to be around 76. At this percentile, your rank should be around 2,78,000. I am sorry to state that, if you belong to the general category, you can not expect to get into any government colleges. Also, I would like to inform you that, there is no such defense quota in JEE Mains exam. Although some specific colleges like NSIT, DTU, and IP have defense quota reservations. But again, the cutoff for CSE branch is very high.
(THIS IS JUST A PREDICTION)
I know, you must be under a lot of pressure right now so I will try to help you as much as I can. You have to keep in mind that you have nothing to lose right now. You should make up your mind to start from zero and reach the top. You have two options in front of you right now:
- Taking admission in a private college
- Taking a drop
If you wish to go for the first method, then there are some good options in front of you.
- MIT WPU PUNE- MIT Pune is one of the best colleges to study engineering. Recently, the students of mechanical department of that college made a driverless car. Sounds intriguing, right? You should drop an application in that college. The last date for application is 15 August 2022. The application fee is 1500. MIT admits students through three methods- MEET EXAM, JEE Score, and Management quota. MIT takes an exam called MIT WPU MEET which has already been conducted for this year. So, now they are shortlisting candidates on the basis of their JEE Main score. So, you can apply in that college based on your JEE Main score.
- ComedK Colleges- Most of the colleges in Karnataka accept admissions through management quota. If you are capable enough to pay the high fees then you can take admission in any of the colleges through that method.
- Other private colleges like CU, KIIT, etc.
If you do not like these options, then take a drop, prepare yourself for the exam, hustle for a year and get into your dream college with your desired branch. The satisfaction through this method is unmatchable. Also, think twice before taking a drop. Only take a drop if you think you will be able to crack the exam after one year. If you believe in yourself, nothing is difficult. All the best for your future. You will do great.
NOTE: I wrote this answer keeping in mind, your branch preference.

Hello Payal,
In order to predict the best colleges, first we need to find the exact rank. It is quite difficult to predict the exact rank/percentile as the trends changes every year because it depends on many factors like number of students appeared, shift, toughness, etc.
But we can predict your result based on the previous trends. With 48 marks your percentile will be around 75.04 - 78.44 . Considering the worst case. With 75.04 percentile your CRL-AIR will be around 255341 - 287040 . You can verify your rank by using our rank predictor tool which is given below:
https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor
Since you have not mentioned your category so considering it to be general. With this rank you won't be able to get top government colleges. But yes you can get CSE branch in few private colleges of your home state which is in JOSSA counselling.
If you want to check the chances of getting a college, you can go through our college predictor link which is given below:
Thank you and all the best for your future.
