I got 93 percentile in JEE mains which nit I get computer science in obc reservation
Hi Mohan,
At 93 percentile your CRL rank comes out to be around AIR 65735 - AIR 77885.
As per the previous year cutoffs for B. Tech Computer Science and Engineering branch at NIT's, at 65000 rank it is quite impossible even to get admission in any of the NITs. The cutoffs of NITs for CSE branch at NITs generally close at 20K. You may get admission in state level colleges in CSE branch or you can opt for these branches if you want a good college:-
- Chemical Engineering
- Metallurgical and Materials Engineering
- Food Processing Engineering
- Biomedical Engineering
- Biotechnology Engineering
- Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering

Hi sir Ive filled my advanced registration and Ive submitted a declaration for obc-ncl, Now when I have obc certificate issued as mentioned now, theres no option to upload it, and its clearly mentioned that Ive to upload it on or before 26/09/2020,Im real worried, please help?
Hello Aspirant,
Don't worry because now you cannot upload certificate on the place of your declaration of category certificate because you can upload it only once. There is nothing to be worry about because if you will be alloted a seat through JOSAA counselling then you have to show your caste certificate which should be issued after 01-04-2020 in the online verification of documents through alloted Institute.

I belong to obc category but I am not eligibke for NCL should i fill general category for my addmission process ?
Hello,
Dear Aspirant,As you said you are from OBC category.First of all OBC category has two types they are OBC and OBC-NCL.
Normal OBC category is the creamy layer obc category, the candidates whose family income is greater than 8 lakhs per annum. And OBC-NCL is the candidates whose family income is limit to 8 lakhs per annum or less, those candidates are considered as OBC-non creamy.
At present those who belong to OBCs are eligible for 27%reservation in educational institutions, government jobs. But OBC creamy layer treated as equivalent to general category hence get few or no benefit in government scheme and examination.
You no need to register for general they will recognize you as OBC creamy layer, general category it has two options you just select for OBC instead of OBC-NCL.

During my Jee Adv registration 2020, I have mistakenly uploaded OBC-NCL Certificate (with the old date of issue) instead of the Declaration in Lieu of OBC-NCL Certificate. Will I be able to upload the renewed Certificate?
- Dear Student,
- You say you has uploaded the declaration form instead of OBC-NCL certificate you uploaded it because it is mentioned in instructions if you don't have certificate issued after April 1 then you have to upload the declaration in the lieu of certificate. Now you don't need to upload your certificate if you have make it you have to submit this certificate at the time of counselling process.Make sure it is valid and keep it with you at the time of document verification process during your counselling.
- Hope it is helpful
my OBC reservation rank is 10702!and my percentile is 96.2!can I get CSE or ece in top 15 nits..if I can get which nit I will??
Hello Aspirant,
According to the rank and category you have mentioned in the question you can get top NITs like NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Uttarakhand, NIT Jaipur but with CSE mad ECE it is quite difficult as per previous year's cut-offs which you can check from the link given below :-
https://www.google.com/amp/s/engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-top-nits/amp
Note that the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors.

what is BC,BC-1,BC-2 and OBC...
Hello,
Other Backward Class (OBC) is a collective term used by the Government of India to classify castes which are educationally or socially disadvantaged. It is one of several official classifications of the population of India, along with Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (SCs and STs).
OBC and BC( Backward class) are same . Most of the states use OBC for BC other than some states like Tamilnadu.
BC-1 and BC-2 are caste categories that fall under the OBC zone i.e Other Backward Class.
OBC -I get more privilege and priority in the reservation system, while the students falling under the OBC-II category are somewhat similar to the general category with minimal add on benefits in the education or employment sector.
Hope this helps
