Which book is best for organic, inorganic and physical chemistry for class 11/JEE?
Hello ,
I will be able to suggest you but please kindly follow the books if you want to excel although the choice of books differs from person to person but the main core books will stay the same.
So, starting with physical chemistry -
Physical chemistry by P. bahadur , NCERT chemistry
For Inorganic
NCERT Chemistry is enough.
For organic,
M.S Chauhan ( For jee advanced)
J.D Lee( For reference)
Organic chemistry by P.Bahadur
If you want any further guidance then you can ask me in the comments section I will reply you within few hours.
how to study physical chemistry for neet and how to remember formulas for long time ??
To score maximum in Physical Chemistry, you will need three resources -
- NCERT Textbook
- Class (coaching) notes/material
- NEET-based MCQ textbook (that should also contain NEET UG PYQs)
Study the theory portion from your class notes. While studying, you should have another notebook with you where you are expected to jot down the formulae simultaneously (while going through the class notes). After going through the entire chapter, you should revise the formulae again from the notebook (where you have jotted down all the formulae).
Now, you should do questions from your NCERT Textbook. You must and should do all the example questions and the relevant numerical-based questions from the exercise. In NEET UG, they sometimes ask directly from these examples and exercises. They may manipulate the numbers, but the sense of the question remains the same.
Once you are done with NCERT questions, you may or may not solve extra MCQs from a NEET-based MCQ textbook (eg Physical Chemistry for NEET by Balaji Publication), but you must do all the previous years' questions (at least from 2012 to 2022).
If you have understood the concepts, revising at least once is enough (because, unlike Inorganic chemistry, Physical chemistry is not a volatile subject). The formula notebook you would have made will come in handy for faster revision.
If you do the above-mentioned things, trust me, you will be able to solve 80-90% of the questions of Physical Chemistry not only in NEET but also in exams like JEE.
can we study Inorganic and organic chemistry without studying physical chemistry only for JEE main level?? is there any use of physical chemistry in organic or inorganic chemistry?????
Hi aspirant...!
Hope you're doing great....!
So, with regard of you're query. basically, most of the part chemistry in 11th and 12th grades deals with organic and inorganic chemistry. when, it compared with physical chemistry. most of the questions come from these two parts in chemistry in JEE MAINS level. so, concentrate more on these parts. the physical chemistry is not much involved in these two parts of chemistry. Just know the formulae in the physical chemistry. so, that you can answer the questions that are interlinked between both physical chemistry and these two parts..
Hope this will helps you...!
GOOD LUCK...!
how to study physical chemistry for NEET ? which books can I solve for building concepts?
Hello aspirant,
When it comes to physical chemistry, you should be familiar with all of the formulae and how to use them in physical chemistry. When applying equations, some students become puzzled. To gain a firm grasp of formula application skills, you should answer at least 5 to 10 questions about each formula.
Physical chemistry practice questions are essential for solidifying your understanding.
So practice with a book that contains enough MCQs for each chapter. You should answer questions from the previous year. So some good books you can refer to are- NCERT, Physical Chemistry by OP Tandon, MS Chouhan or MTG Fingerprints. Stick to only 1 book and solve each and every question.
A list of more intellectual, important, and practice-based NEET chapters:
Electrochemistry, solid-state, chemical kinetics, equilibrium, and thermodynamics and mole concepts. Once you have a good grip over these chapters, you can easily score good marks in Physical Chemistry.
All the best!
how to master organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry for NEET? and please refer some books for the same?
Hi
Your whole chemistry is divided into three parts :-
******* physical chemistry
******* organic chemistry and
******* Inorganic Chemistry
To score well, you will have to master all the three i. e physical, organic and inorganic which you can do following the below tips :-
-------------------)For physical chemistry first of all go through the chapter then make a list of all the formulas and important concepts in the chapter then go through the solved numericals to understand how the concepts learnt are applied to solve them and then go for unsolved questions
------------------) In inorganic chemistry, you basically have to memorize things, show the best thing is read the chapter from NCERT and keep revising it at regular intervals , and practice lots of MCQs to increase your memory power after each chapter
-------------------)For organic chemistry , you don't need to directly mug up reaction , you meed to first understand them, what you need to do is first go through the reaction and then go through it mechanism as well which will help you to understand how the reaction proceeds and then write two- three times the reaction and its mechanism on your own and then practice questions based on the same and you need to follow this process for every reaction in organic.
------------------) Solve at least 80- 100 mcqs per chapter to master them
-------------------)Practice previous year question papers of your neet examination . Previous year question papers are the most important as it will let you know types of questions which are asked, also questions on the same concept are repeated very often so it will be of great help for you.
---------------------) Go through chapter-wise test and once you're done with the complete syllabus go through mock test series , it will let you know your weak areas so that you can work on them and improve your score

Can we study organic chemistry without studying physical chemistry?????
Hello Aspirant,
As per your profile you are an engineering aspirant so considering that you must be seeking to appear in engineering entrance examinations in future, if not then kindly correct me in the comment section below.
You can do so but you will face lot of problems, this is because Physical Chemistry consists of very basis concepts like Mole concept which is required throughout Chemistry part whether it is Organic or Inorganic. So for JEE-Advance and JEE-Main like national level engineering entrance examination it would not be the wise decision to leave any of the part of the syllabus.
Also for your reference, I am mentioning down the JEE-Main 2022 syllabus :-
