There is no such difference. The cycle of verification, rules, and regulations is the same.

Physical confirmation will start and continue through the counseling rounds of CSAB Special Rounds.

Every JEE (Main) passed PwD nominee is compelled to finish this procedure by the end of the counseling session for the allotted seat, neglecting which the allotted seat will get terminated.

Nominees who are arriving for physical verification should enroll on the CSAB website first.

b. Interval 2: During the actual counseling rounds: Each candidate seeking to get the benefit of the PwD category is required to complete this process latest by the end of the counseling round in which they are allocated a seat (if any) .

It is candidate’s responsibility to plan their travel such that the

physical verification is completed by the last day of the counseling

round in which they are allocated a seat (if any) [Please see

No you would not have to undergo any kind of physical verification at the time of admission to any of the IITs because the seats will be allotted on the basis of your PwD certificate but note that for issuing that PwD certificate from the designated authorities you will have to undergo the physical verification.

Following are the documents which you have to carry to the reporting center for IITs :-

1. Provisional Seat Allotment Letter
2. Two Passport Size Photographs identical to the one uploaded during JEE Advanced 2021 registration
3. Undertaking by the Candidate
4. Proof of Seat Acceptance Fee Payment by e-challan or net banking of SBI (Rs. 15, 000 for SC/ST/PwD candidates and Rs. 35,000 for others)
5. Valid Photo Identity Card
6. JEE Advanced 2021 Admit Card
7. Date of Birth Proof (10th Standard Mark Sheet)
8. 12th Standard (or equivalent) Mark Sheet and Pass Certificate

It is person with disabilities physical verification. The pwd candidate will be physically checked for the disabilities he has mentioned in the form. If the candidate wants to avail any benefit for pwd category he has to go through this verification.

Josaa business rules 2021 states the steps and timelines for the verification. Pls refer it below

" Physical Verification for PwD Candidates (only for IITs)

All JEE (Advanced) 2021 qualified PwD candidates, willing to get a seat in IITs through JoSAA, are required to visit any of the IITs for physical verification along with a copy of the PwD certificate(s). Following procedures will be adopted for

This verification can be done during the first 10 days of choice filling or during the actual counselling rounds. You have to choose the institution where you will have the physical verification using the link provided in the Josaa portal.

JoSAA has issued guidelines for candidates who have secured seat in JoSSA round 1 to round 6 counselling regarding the reporting in the allotted institute. The candidates who have been allotted in NIT+system has to report online instead of physical reporting from November 20, 2021 to November 24, 2021 by 5 PM. So your son do not have to report physically in the allotted institute that is NIT, Tiruchirapalli. He has to report in online mode and pay the partial admission fee. To obtain Education Verification Report from NIT, Silchar;

1. Request is to be made in the Company Letterhead and be sent to:- The Asst. Registrar (Academic) NIT Silchar
2. Copies of Degree Certificate and final year Grade Cards have to be attached invariably.
3. Fee of Rs. 1000.00 per student to be paid by A/C payee Demand Draft in favour of THE DIRECTOR, NIT, SILCHAR payable at SILCHAR.
4. All documents have to be posted by INDIA POST only and not by Courier.
5. Verification Report shall be sent to the company by Fax. Companies should quote Fax number clearly.
6. No type of contact is allowed ,necessary action shall be taken only after receipt of a formal request on hard-copy along with the demand draft.

On the day of Physical Verification, the documents you have submitted will be matched with your original documents and it will be verified by the authority resulting in the acceptance of your admission permanently. After that you will get home and for doing classes you will notified separately but at the day of physical verification there will be no classes at all.
