The cut off marks or the rank doesnt approve your admissions unless you attend the counselling. Like the intake for the course is about 52 candidates the selection is upon  rankwise but it would be wise to attend the counselling as you will never know the student strength attending the counselling and it alle depend on it .The need of study of various oceans is present in our world that is why the demand of oceanographers is increasing day after day. The oceanographers study the ocean waters and their effects on sea life, the weather and many others. The oceanographers can work in the fields ranging from conservation to the oil industry.
