my 12th board percentage is 61 am i eligible to give sat and is there any problem in taking admission abroad .
Dear aspirant,
College Board has not prescribed the educational qualification for the candidates looking for appearing in the SAT exam. So, it is up to the students when they want to give SAT exam. The percentile varies from the courses and the universities from where you wish to pursue a degree. Mostly, it is seen that the students who have completed their school education (Class 12/Class 11) appear in the test. However, it doesn’t mean that the candidates who are graduates or who are in their high schools cannot appear in the test. Students from all age groups and all educational backgrounds can appear in the SAT test. Candidates are also advised to fulfil the educational qualification of the course and the college they are looking for admission.

Hello Aspirant,
Your NEET score is 250. Usually for BAMS one must score 420+ for general category for government college. For private it is 300+. Also it too depends upon last years cut-off. Adding it with 15% All India quota and 85% state quota seats in government colleges. Your Overall Percentile is:71.82 - 72.42 and when it comes to rank, your Predicted Rank is :391837 - 461987. For SC category there comes 15% seat reservation.

Can I get into MIT or any other foreign university if I qualify SAT and Maths Olympiad this year and drop one year and qualify JEE the next year?
Hello Saleenad!
Please keep in mind that getting a good SAT score doesn't guarantee the fact that you will get into MIT. You have to go through phases of hard interviews to ensure you get into MIT. Nearly 50% of the candidates that appear SAT have a 1400+/1600 score — so scoring in SAT is not like writing the JEE which guarantees a spot in top IITs/NITs/GFTIs based on a good score/rank. Moreover, International awards as in science fairs, Olympiad medals, etc. play a crucial role in your transcript if you want to get top universities like MIT , Harvard, and other Ivy League universities.
If you are dropping a year for preparing for JEE, there is no use to beat around the bush to get MIT because preparing for JEE means you must aim for a seat in IIT. If you want to ensure if there is any problem if you drop to prepare to get MIT, then it is a question that must be directly asked to the admission office of MIT. You must have noticed that very meritorious students like Chirag Falor(Jee Main rank 1) got into MIT this year for his undergrad studies. You need staunch letters of recommendation for building your transcript too and have to qualify in the interview apart from just scoring a high score in SAT.
Hope this answer helps you get a better insight! All the best for your future endeavors:)

I dont have maths in my 12th, i want to apply for a btech course in computer field, will my sat score will help in admission? And if it do, the please tell which sat exam or a similar exam i should give. Thank you
Thanks A2A @rohanhanda !
The fact that you didn't have maths in your 12th doesn't matter if you want to pursue btech in computer science abroad. Education in other countries are quite flexible and don't require you to study a particular subject to pursue a particular discipline.
SAT's mathematics isn't tough and anybody who has studied high school mathematics can solve the questions.(8th class level and calculator is available too)
Give few mock tests of the Math test to assess yourself.
Additionally you can purchase the SAT Preparation guide by College Board and McGraw Hill. They are really helpful !
All you have to do is excel in the SAT English part and Indian students excel in maths part anyway.
Apart from SAT, you can appear ACT(American College Testing) which is accepted by several universities. Appearing the TOEFL /IELTS is necessary as English is not our native language.
High scores in SAT and ACT alongside TOEFL and your Board exams will fetch you great Universities in USA,UK and Canada with scholarships .

All the best:)
when we are able to give this exam and i got 86.457 percentile in jee mains is i am eligible for this college??
Hi,
Well since you have added a SAT tag so I am assuming that you want to ask about that. Well you don't need any jee mains or any other score to appear for SAT. SAT is an aptitude test that is accepted by nearly all colleges in US for students wishing to complete their undergraduate studies from there. So if you are already interested to apply abroad, go ahead and register for the test and then score well to have a good chance in getting into some best colleges of United States.
I hope this answer helps.
All the best.
