How students of ap get a seat in sastra
Hello Aspirant,
Sastra takes the admission on the basis of the two streams where in stream 1 consideration will be given to JEE Main marks along with the 10+2 marks while in stream 2 only 10+2 or equivalent marks will be considered.
As per the eligibility you should have passed in 10+2 (or) its equivalent examination with Mathematics & Physics as compulsory subjects with either Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Biology and recognized by any State Board / Central Board or any other accepted SASTRA.
You can check the further information with the given below link.

Im studying +2 in TN board. Total marks for me is out of 600 marks and each subject carries 100 marks I have six subjects.
How many marks should I get in mains and Intermediate Ive to get to secure cse seat in Sastra University please any one tell me please
Hello Avinash,
Sastra university does not give admission only in the basis of JEE but also considers the Board percentage which should be above 90-95%.
They categorize the meritlist on the basis of two criteria one is 75% of the admissions is given on the basis of 25% weight age to JEE and 75% to Board exams.
And the second criteria is the remaining 30% admissions are given on the basis of board marks only which should be above 95%.
All the Best ....,
What is the JEE main percentile and marks must be secured to join this College

I got 76. 5 percentage in jee main jan 2019 if got a admission in sastra university? Please answer
Hello sir
Well, it's very difficult as of now,to predict the cutoff for colleges of JEE mains and for jee advance based on percentile. You can first calculate your rank by rank=(100-percentile)*874469/100.With this rank, you can compare previous year's cutoff for different colleges and can predict some of the colleges you may be getting and also the advance cut off.But remember this is not the final rank.It will change based on the april session of mains. To further predict colleges visit https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor .Hope this helps.
Good Luck
Will I am able to get a seat in SASTRA university with 90.5 percentile in jee 2019 and 461 in my first year?
Hi Sravankumar,
SASTRA University does not have any cutoff rather it calculates your eligibility using the following formula- (12th percentage x 0.75) + (JEE Main Percentile x 0.25). It takes into account the JEE Main normalised scores as well as the 10+2 marks and calls for admissions under 2 streams -
Stream 1:
- JEE Main 2018 and normalized 10+2 scores will be taken together for admission under stream 1
- The JEE Main scores will carry 25% weightage and 10+2 scores will carry 75% weightage.
- The combined scores will be used to prepare the rank list and candidates will be invited for admission on the basis of the rank list.
- 70% of seats will be filled under stream 1.
Stream 2:
- Candidates will be considered for admission based on their normalised aggregate 10+2 or any equivalent exam scores.
- 30% of seats will be filled under stream 2.
Now having explained the process, I advise you to kindly wait till any announcemets are made by the University and I hope that with that brilliant result, you get an admission in SASTRA.
All the very best! I hope this was useful.

Hello deepak
YOU CAN WAIT FOR THE FINAL SCORE WHEN IT COMES IN APRIL OR SEE THE CUT OFF OF THE PREVIOUS YEARS FOR THE UNIVERSITY.
BUT THIS IS TOO EARLY TO MAKE AN ASSUMPTION REGARDING GETTING AN ADMISSION IN A COLLEGES BASED UPON YOUR PERCENTILE. I HOPE YOU UNDERSTOOD TE DILEMMA.
HAPPY LEANING!!
I got 79 percentile in jeemains and i got 10/10 GPA in first year if i got second year 10/10 can I expect seat in Sastra university
It would be difficult to provide the exact information about the admission possibilities as for the first time JEE Main is being conducted twice by NTA in multiple session.
Based on this score your probable rank will be 231,089 - 261,089. With this rank the chances seems less to be eligible for JEE Advance. I would suggest you to appear for JEE Main April Session.
NOTE: Rank Predicted is on the basis of the expected total number of students i.e. 1152650 appearing in the JEE Mains April Session.
Good Luck!
