Hello Harish,
JEE Mains is an annual exam that is conducted by the National Testing Agency and the CBSE for admissions to undergraduate engineering courses in NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and other institutes. It also serves as the first stage for admission to IITs through JEE Advanced.
As for your question, you should be able to get admission in SASTRA University with the percentile and board percentage you have, though you may have to compromise with your branch.

And had a good percentage in JEE
It is based on your category you can apply your stream .If so to choose a branch choose a branch that you have desired to do or else ECE is the best stream to select .
Hope this answer will help you .
All the best for your future .
Thank you.
is there lateral entry in your college?
Hey Nagendra,
After the completion of the polytechnic exams, Sastra University conducts a one month course in which people who are interested in studying Btech after diploma, join. However, the student should not have any backlogs until final semester in the diploma course and with a overall percentage of 80 and above. During the last days of the course, a test is conducted on the subjects you learned in the course. Seeing your attendace percentage during the course and performace in the test, you will be called for counselling for your stream.
Good Luck.
.Should I get 10/10 GPA in IPE to get a seat in sastra University?
Hi Saisrivinayreddy,
Getting 10 GPA is not necessary to get admission in Sastra University, but the greater the GPA, more is your chance of getting a better seat at the university.
The admission is based on two ways:
Stream 1: JEE main marks + board exam marks (70% seats)
Stream 2: only board exam marks (30% seats)
There is no specific cut off to get a seat in SASTRA University. It depends on the student who scores the highest marks. If you have appeared for JEE Mains then apply under stream 1. If your board exam marks is 90-95% and JEE main marks is between 50-120 then you can get admission under stream 1.
For stream 2, your board exam marks should be at least above 85-90% to get a seat and if it is more than 95% you can get a good course.
Hope it was useful to you and your query was resolved.
Feel free to contact us for any queries.
All the best :)

Is seat will be available in sastra university , if I would have scored 95% in boardexam
Heyyyy Akshay Kumar.....
the admission in the sastra University will be available why are the following two streams :
Through stream 1:
Admissions to 70% of the seats will be made through stream 1 on the basis of JEE Main scores and normalized scores of the 10+2 or equivalent exam.
The 25% weightage will be given to JEE Main scores and the remaining 75% will be given to marks scored in 10+2 or equivalent examination.
The combined scores will be used to prepare the rank list and candidates will be invited for admission on the basis of the rank list.
Through stream 2:
The remaining 30% of the seats will be filled through stream 2
Only 10+2 (or equivalent) normalized scores will be considered while preparing the rank list of stream 2.
Candidates can apply through both the streams.
