If I am right then your son have scored 98.3 % in IP and JEE Mains percentile is 94.6%. Now based upon the percentile of your child in JEE Mains he can surely get admission in Sastra University but might not get the preferred engineering domain due to number of applicants. But yes overall chances of admission in Sastra is high.

I am very sorry to say that you may not get a seat at Sastra University with these marks.

The admission is based on two ways:
Stream 1: JEE main marks + board exam marks (70% seats)
Stream 2: only board exam marks (30% seats)
There is no specific cut off to get a seat in SASTRA University. It depends on the student who scores the highest marks. If you have appeared for JEE Mains then apply under stream 1. If your board exam marks is 90-95% and JEE main marks is between 50-120 then you can get admission under stream 1. 
For stream 2, your board exam marks should be at least above 85-90% to get a seat and if it is more than 95% you can get a good course.

Sastra university releases no cutoff. It takes admission only based on the score of you which is calculated by the university. The same is calculated by the formula: 12th percentage * 0.75+jee mains mark * 0.25.

For CSE, you must be getting the score around 160 for admission into this university.

Yes you have good chances  for getting CSE at SASTRA Univerity.You have an excellent CGPA and a good percentile,Congrats for your achievement.In SASTRA the students are admitted based on two streams.

Stream 1: 70% of seats are filled based on JEE main 2019 percentile and 12th marks.

The weightage for JEE main will be 25% and 12th marks will be 75%, both will be combined and the resultant aggregate mark will be calculated(SASTRA rank).

Based on the SASTRA rank you will be called for counselling based on the order of your merit.

Stream 2: 30% of seats based on 12th marks.

The students will be admitted based on their normaised 12th aggregate or equivalent marks.

A merit list is drawn in order to fill the 30% of seats.

Stream 1 and 2 will be merged after the 2nd counselling and the vaccant seats will be filled based on merit.

You can fill your marks in the online application by choosing GP system instead of percentage.

Sasta University doesn't give admissions on the basis if jee main score only. Your 12th marks will also come into consideration. Based on your jee main score and board marks you'll get a Sastra AIR and you'll be given admission based on that only. Hence it is difficult ti specify particular jee main cutoff of Sastra University.

SASTRA considers jee mains score and also consider the board percent which should be 95+ or minimum 90+ for providing admission. Score in mains should be 100+. They prepare their own meritlist on the basis of 2 criterias:

First criteria has 70% of seats. Admissions r given by taking 25% weightage of JEE mains and 75% of boards.

Second criteria includes admission on the basis of boards marks only. But it has only 30% of seats , so for this criteria u should be having 95 or 95+ for securing ur seat as in this criteria competition may be very tough.

So you can get admission in this University.
