Am I eligible for UGC NET Environmental Science after completing M.tech in Biomedical Engineering?
Hi
Biomedical engineering is a combination of engineering , life sciences and healthcare.
Aspirants may appear for the examination with the subject in which they have completed their post-graduation or related to that subject as per the UGC NET exam guidelines.
Environmental science is not related to biomedical engineering!
Two organisations conduct NET exams namely UGC and CSIR.
The NET in Major Science Subjects, viz., Chemical Sciences; Earth Atmospheric Ocean & Planetary Sciences; Life Sciences; Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences is conducted jointly with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi.
Most closest to your field of study is life science.
The paper pattern and syllabus of CSIR NET life science could be found in the below link.
https://csirhrdg.res.in/Home/Index/1/InPage/37/26
You can avail the same benefits in CSIR NET as in UGC NET.
Both will make you eligible for lectureship or fellowship or both.
Hope this answers your query!
