i have 53 % in pg from commerce subject can i apply for UGC net with this percentage or i need to do pg again?? Im from EWS
Hello,
As per the eligibility criteria for UGC NET , candidates need to pass master's degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university securing 55% in case of general/general-ews category, 50% aggregate is only applicable for OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender, the required aggregate in all the cases should come without rounding off, candidates who are pursuing or are in final year too are eligible to apply provisionally provided they can complete the degree within two years of qualifying UGC NET JRF/Assistant Professor with the required aggregate obviously.
hence with EWS Category, and securing 53% won't make you eligible for UGC NET, if you're interested to appear for this you will have to redo your postgrauate degree.
I would request you to check out the information brochure of UGC NET at https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in/webinfo/File/GetFile?FileId=56&LangId=P, refer page no 6 to know the complete details regarding this.

Can I be eligible for UGC NET ENVIRONMENT SCIENCE after MSc in ZOOLOGY?
Hello,
Yes, you are eligible for UGC ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE after M.Sc in zoology as the main criteria for the same is to qualify the master degree from a recognized university with atleast 55% aggregate marks, 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST candidates. Final years students are also eligible for the same.

What are the exams I can register while doing my MBA second year? Also do we get PSU jobs through clearing UGC NET now? Are there similar exams like UGC net particularly for PG Students?
Hi, you can apply for exams like UGC NET and other exams which will help you get jobs or for higher studies like Doctor in Business administration. Yes, you can appear for UGC NET and apply for PSUs. UGC NET Exam consist of Paper-1 and Paper-2. Paper-1 is common for all and Paper-2 is subject-specific. For becoming an Assistant professor this exam is necessary to crack. You can also become an assistant professor after completing PhD but UGC NET gives you a plethora of opportunities.
UGC NET also gives you the opportunity to become a part of PSU
- Some of the PSU’s like NTPC, NHPC etc hire through UGC NET.
- They keep UGC NET as the minimum eligibility criteria for giving the exam.
- They conduct the entrance exam and there after interview.
- However, these opportunities are very few in number. Nonetheless, you must attempt whatever comes in your way.
Hope this helps.
I did my 2 years part time MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, a Category 1 Deemed to be university. I cleared UGC NET. While applying for Assistant Professor jobs, few of the colleges refused to accept my degree saying that it is not recognized. What shall I do?
Dear aspirant!
Hope you are doing great ! If you did 2 years part time MBA from the above college and now some colleges are refused to accept it then you should apply for some other colleges ,because it is not much recognised from my point of view also so apply where it is applicable otherwise do it again is the one last option .
Hope it helps!
