What is the new pattern of UGC NET Exam?
Dear Student,
The new pattern for UGC NET examination is as follows:
The test will consist of Paper I and II and will be conducted in two different sessions.. Paper I will have tests on reasoning ability, comprehension, general awareness etc. consisting of 50 questions. Paper II will have all questions mandatory and will have 100 questions. Each question of Paper I and II carries 2 marks. Paper II will cover the entire syllabus of Paper II and III which includes all electives. The test is being conducted by the newly formed National Testing Agency(NTA)

UGC NET will be conducted by NTA. The information brochure for UGC NET has been released. Online registrations have started. The exam will be conducted from December 9 to 23.

UGC NET exam will be conducted in Computer Based Mode from December session. Therefore, the examination authority has kept different dates for UGC NET exam so that it can be conducted smoothly.

What is difference between CSIR JRF net and csir UGC net exam

CSIR conducts a single exam for awarding Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and eligibility for Lectureship
CSIR JRF -A large number of JRFs are awarded each year by CSIR to candidates holding BS-4 years program/BE/B. Tech/B. Pharma/MBBS/ Integrated BS-MS/M.Sc. or Equivalent degree/BSc (Hons) or equivalent degree holders or students enrolled in the integrated MS-Ph.D program with at least 55% marks for General & OBC (50% for SC/ST candidates, PH candidates after qualifying the National Eligibility Test ( NET) conducted by CSIR twice a year June and December.
CSIR-UGC NET Exam for Science stream is conducted by CSIR for the following subjects:
• Chemical Sciences
• Earth Sciences
• Life Sciences
• Mathematical Sciences
• Physical Sciences
The pattern for the Single Paper MCQ test shall:
• The MCQ test paper for each subject shall carry a maximum of 200 marks.
• The exam shall be for the duration of three hours.
The question paper shall be divided into three parts
• Part 'A' shall be common to all subjects. This part shall be a test containing a maximum of 20 questions of General Aptitude. The candidates shall be required to answer any 15 questions of two marks each. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 30 out of 200
• Part 'B' shall contain subject-related conventional MCQs. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 70 out of 200. The maximum number of questions to be attempted shall be in the range of 20-35.
• Part 'C' shall contain higher value questions that may test the candidate's knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts. The questions shall be of analytical nature where a candidate is expected to apply the scientific knowledge to arrive at the solution to the given scientific problem. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 100 out of 200.
• Negative marking for wrong answers.

What is the cut-off marks for UGC NET Paper 1 and Paper 2?

These are the expected cut off marks for the UGC NET 2019 Exam:
- Economics from 56.66 to 66.33.
- Political Science from 55.00 to 63.00.
- Management from 54.67 to 62.00.
- Sociology from 59.33 to 68.93.
- English from 52.67 to 60.67.
- Mass Communication & Journalism from 52.33 to 59.73.
- Social Work from 59.77 to 68.96.

You have to clear the cut off marks to qualify the exam. UGC NET Exam has been successfully conducted from 20th to 28th June 2019 and the result for the same will be declared on 15th July 2019.
