I have completed masters in the law field. How do I prepare for UGC NET Exam?
As we all know that the difficulty level of UGC NET 2018 is very high. To get sure shot success in this exam, you must be highly passionate and dedicated towards your studies.
· Gain familiarity with UGC NET Law Syllabus 2018. Do not skip any topic.
· Start the preparation with Paper-1 syllabus because it is simpler than the Paper – 2. You must finish it as soon as you can.
· Refer good books of Law which are recommended by the experts to prepare well for the exam.
· Make short notes for last time revision.
· Manage time properly. Give time to the topics according to their importance level.
· Solve previous years question papers and practice online mock test papers.
· Be positive, be hopeful and be confident.

I don't think so that getting 50% will make you eligible for NET. My brother is doing its preparation for NET and he is in final year of his master's as per my knowledge, a candidate must have atleast 65% aggregate in his master's from any recognised university.

The syllabus of UGC NET 2018 includes topics - General Ability, General Awareness, Comprehension and divergent thinking. UGC NET is conducted for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian Universities and Colleges.
The candidates who qualify for the award of Junior Research Fellowship are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible for Assistant Professor.

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) will determine
the eligibility criteria for the candidates to appear for CSIR UGC NET 2019.
The eligibility criteria of CSIR UGC NET is based on:
Age
Educational qualification
CSIR UGC NET Eligibility Criteria 2019 – Education Qualification
Candidates must hold an M.Sc or equivalent degree or Integrated BS-MS/BS/BE/BTech/BPharma/MBBS with at least 55% marks for General and OBC candidates, and 50% marks for SC/ST and PWD candidates.
All those candidates who are enrolled for M.Sc or have completed their graduation can also apply under Result Awaited (RA) category on the condition that they will complete the qualifying degree with required percentage of marks within two years to avail the fellowship from the effective date of award.
B.Sc(Hons) or equivalent degree holders or candidates enrolled in Integrated MS-Ph.D program with at least 55% marks for General candidates and 50% marks for SC/ST/PWD.
Candidates who hold bachelor’s degree will be eligible for the fellowship only after getting registered/enrolled for Ph.D/Integrated Ph.D program within the validity period of two years.
All
those candidates who have qualified CSIR UGC NET 2019 are eligible for
Lectureship only if they meet the criteria laid down by UGC. Candidates
who have passed Master’s degree before 19th September 1992, with at
least 50% marks are eligible to apply for Lectureship only.
Note: Candidates who hold only Bachelor’s Degree will not be eligible for Lectureship.
The eligibility criteria of CSIR UGC NET 2019 on the basis of age is different for JRF and Lecturers.
For JRF (NET)
The upper age limit of the candidates for JRF must be 28 years of age as on January 1, 2019.
For LS (NET)
There is no upper age limit decided by the exam conducting authority for the candidates applying for Lectureship.
