Hello buddy, No this criteria is only for IITS/IIITS/NITS(75% in 12th board). Many good private engineering colleges don't have such criteria like DTU Delhi, Thapar University, Pataila, PEC Chandigarh etc. You can also give BITSAT exam which is also very good college of engineering in India.

This eligibility criteria is only applicable for IITs/NITs/IIITs that you have to score atleast an aggregate marks of 75% in class 12th board exams.
But for other top private colleges through jee mains getting above 60% marks in class 12th board exams is enough.
