Hello,
It is quite difficult to predict the chances of getting seat in IIST, Thiruvananthapuram based on JEE Advanced rank. Last year the cut off rank (IIST UG ADMISSION-RANK) is as follows for OBC category
- Aerospace Engineering: 473
- Electronics and Communication : 511
- B.Tech. + Master of Science/Master of Technology: 521
And here is the Closing Percentage of JEE Advanced 2020 marks.
- Aerospace Engineering: 21.72 %
- Electronics and Communication : 21.46%
- B.Tech. + Master of Science/Master of Technology: 21.21%
Each year the maximum marks for JEE Advanced changes so does the cut off. You will have decent chances of getting seat if your total score in JEE Advanced is in between 21-25% of total score.
Cut off is subjected to change, it may increase or decrease depending on factors such as total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc. So it may increase or decrease this year based on above mentioned factors.
