what rank should I get in open category to get a rank below 1000 in SC category in jee main?

Abhishek Ranjan Student Expert 3rd Oct, 2019

Hello,

Rank depends upon the cutoff trends which changes every year according to the difficulty level of the paper and number of students appeared for the exam.

Belonging to sc category if you will score marks around 180+ then surely your category rank would be around 1000.

All the best..

what is scB exam which helps to enter into iiser colleges?

Ronak Gala Student Expert 12th Nov, 2019

Scb means STATE CENTRAL BOARD. it is 1 available way from the 3 possible to get into BS_MS dual degree course at IISER. SCB is a pattern followed for getting into IISER. it's like top 1% people from Each board get a chance to be into IISER and each state and board is given priority. For example) if Maharashtra board has cutoff 90% for 12th and MADHYA Pradesh board has 71% for the same. Then top 1% people from each state are allowed to apply for IISER APTiTUDE test and 5% relaxation. Is given to reserved people.

Thank-you.

how to avoid mobile and how to concentrate in my syllabus

Abhishek Ranjan Student Expert 3rd Oct, 2019

Hello,

Good question!

Here are some of the technique, which will be beneficial, if you do it with great ease.

Say you're trying to study in the library and you keep getting distracted by someone texting. Take note of this specific distraction then tell yourself you are going to overcome it. The next time you see it happen, will yourself not to look. Keep doing this every time the distraction comes up, and eventually you will no longer notice it.

Turn off notifications on your devices. Better still, turn them off completely.

Don't take calls or texts. Turn off your phone if you are able, or at least keep it on silent and away.

About once an hour, get up and take a short break of about 5 minutes. This helps refresh you so that you can stay focused when you come back to studying.

Some people imagine that knocking out several things at once means you can work faster. Attempting to multitask, such as doing your homework while watching TV or shopping online, will cause you to lose your focus. Instead concentrate on one task at a time.

Physics needs utmost focus and time because it involves with theoretical concepts and numbers. There should be a systematic approach in preparing for NEET. The important topics are Mechanics, ElectroDynamics, Modern Physics, Heat and Thermodynamics, Optics, Simple Harmonic Motion, Waves. Formulae form an integral part of your preparation. Memorise as many formulae as you can and write them down and stick them as post its so that you can always see them. Practise regularly and try various kinds of questions. Solving previous papers and mock tests to test your improvement. Keep a clock and check the time its taking you to solve these questions. And improve the time as you practise more. can I apply for neet exam after B.Sc 1st or 2nd year?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 4th Oct, 2019
Dear Pallavi, you haven't mentioned which subjects in B.Sc are you pursuing. Though you are in your B.Sc, the aggregate criteria is still considered on the basis of your 10+2 marks. Its just that the qualification code changes. Everything else remains the same.  For being eligible for NEET, you should have completed your 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Bioligy and score a minimum aggregate of 50%. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST.
