hii sir i completed my btech in computer science domain.... could I eligible for pg in mass communication? or ishould go for bachelor s degree

Samprikta Mondal 30th Oct, 2024

Yes, you are eligible for a PG in Mass Communication after completing your B.Tech in Computer Science. Most universities and colleges in India accept graduates from any discipline for their PG programs in Mass Communication.

However, it's important to note that having a background in Computer Science can be an advantage in certain areas of Mass Communication, such as digital media, media technology, and data journalism. These fields often require technical skills and knowledge, which your B.Tech background can provide.

Before applying to a specific program, it's advisable to check the eligibility criteria and specific requirements of the institution you're interested in. Some universities may have additional requirements or preference for candidates with a background in humanities or social sciences.

Here are some things to consider when making your decision:

  • Your Interests: Are you genuinely interested in the field of Mass Communication? Do you have a passion for writing, journalism, public relations, or other related fields?
  • Career Goals: What are your long-term career goals? How will a PG in Mass Communication help you achieve them?
  • Skill Set: Do you have the necessary skills and aptitude for a career in Mass Communication, such as strong communication skills, creativity, and analytical thinking?

Ultimately, the decision of whether to pursue a PG in Mass Communication is up to you. If you're passionate about the field and believe that it aligns with your career goals, then going for a PG can be a great way to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Congratulations on your scores! Well, you can get a seat with the marks in the affiliated colleges for graduation Because There is only B. Tech as part of graduation courses within the campus all other bachelor courses are outside campus like nizam college and women's college.

If anybody wish to pursue pg courses and b.tech at OU, you have to write the entrances like eamcet and pgecet and get the cut-off score/ rank for the admission. Wish you a good luck!

Will my 2025 KCET score be valid in 2026?

Samprikta Mondal 29th Oct, 2024

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) scores are valid only for the year in which they are obtained. This means that your KCET 2025 score will not be valid for admissions in 2026.

To be eligible for admissions in 2026, you will need to take the KCET exam again in that year. The scores from the 2026 exam will be used to determine your eligibility for admission to various engineering and medical colleges in Karnataka.

Therefore, if you wish to pursue higher education in Karnataka in 2026, you must appear for the KCET exam that year.

It's Never Too Late to Start Over

It's completely normal to feel uncertain about your future, especially when faced with unexpected challenges. Many people change their career paths or educational goals later in life. Starting college at 20 is absolutely fine and can be a great opportunity to explore new interests and gain valuable skills.

Here's what you can do:

  1. Consider Your Options:

    • Undergraduate Degree: Explore various undergraduate programs that align with your interests and career goals. Consider fields like business administration, finance, marketing, or even a completely different field like psychology or computer science.
    • Professional Courses: If you're more inclined towards practical skills, consider professional courses like digital marketing, data analytics, or project management.
  2. Consult with a Career Counselor:

    • A career counselor can help you assess your strengths, weaknesses, and interests. They can also provide guidance on choosing the right course and college.
  3. Talk to Your Parents:

    • Have an open and honest conversation with your parents about your concerns and aspirations. Explain your reasons for wanting to pursue higher education and how it will benefit you in the long run.
  4. Financial Planning:

    • Discuss your financial situation with your parents and explore options like student loans, scholarships, or part-time jobs to fund your education.
  5. Time Management:

    • If you decide to pursue a degree alongside other commitments, develop effective time management skills to balance your studies, work, and personal life.

Remember, it's never too late to start over. By taking proactive steps and seeking guidance, you can make informed decisions and achieve your goals.
