i belong to RBA catogery and my family income is less than 8 lakhs, can i select the NC- OBC section in CAT registration form?

Hridaya Rao 17th Sep, 2024
Hello there,

No, you cannot select the NC-OBC section in the CAT registration form unless you specifically belong to the Non-Creamy Layer of the OBC category. The RBA (Resident of Backward Area) category is not the same as NC-OBC. For CAT, only candidates belonging to the OBC Non-Creamy Layer as per central government regulations are eligible for that reservation. You should apply under the General or your specific category (RBA) if applicable in the state quota.

Hope it helps. Good luck!

Both boards aim to provide a solid foundation in subjects but the approach and depth, vary. state boards usually emphasis on rote learning with a curriculum that is sometimes more aligned with local educational needs and state-level examinations whereas CBSE board topics specially designed for competitive exams and  focus on analytical and application-based learning

While some topics are overlap but not all topics are same!!!

I have done with neet pg 2024 exam. my rank is 70055. I want emergency medicine. I am from karnataka with OBC category. what all the colleges I can get admission in. can I knw the fee structure of those colleges and stipend given in them?

Hridaya Rao 13th Sep, 2024
Hello There,

With a NEET PG 2024 rank of 70055 and your interest in Emergency Medicine, as an OBC candidate from Karnataka, your options will likely depend on several factors such as state quotas, seat availability, and the specific college cut-offs.

For Emergency Medicine, you may have a chance to secure seats in private medical colleges in Karnataka, as government college cut-offs for Emergency Medicine can be higher. Some colleges to consider for MD in Emergency Medicine in Karnataka include:

1. Kasturba Medical College, Manipal
2. Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore
3. MS Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore
4. St. Johns Medical College, Bangalore
5. Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore

Fee Structure:

Private Medical Colleges: Fees can range from 10-20 lakh per year.
Deemed Universities: Fees may be on the higher end, ranging from 25-40 lakh per year depending on the institution.
Government Colleges: The fees can be much lower, usually around 1-2 lakh per year, but securing a seat in a government college with your rank might be challenging for Emergency Medicine

Stipends:
Government colleges typically offer stipends of around 40,000-70,000 per month depending on the year of residency.
Private medical colleges offer stipends that might range from 30,000-60,000 per month.

For more detailed information on the specific cut-offs and updated fee structures, its best to refer to the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) website and the MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) guidelines for NEET PG.

Thankyou. Hope it helps and Good luck!

Sir , 12th Bihar Board (2023-2025) waalo Ka exam form aa gaya hai jissme . Jissme Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology, Agriculture diya hai . Inme se kisi 3 ko choose karna hai to kya hum Maths , Biology aur Physics Ko Main Subject mein rakh sakte hain ? Aur Chemistry ko optional subject mein?

sadafreen356 13th Sep, 2024

No, according to the Bihar Board regulations, you cannot take both Mathematics and Biology as optional subjects together in Class 12; you must choose either a science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or a mathematics stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics - meaning you cannot combine the two subjects.

Choose subjects that align with your desired career path. If you want to pursue medical fields, select Biology as your optional subject; if you want to pursue engineering, choose Mathematics.

ARE 12th MARKS IMPORTANT FOR GETTING ACCEPTED IN MS PROGRAMS IN INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITIES? I gave the 12th board exams in 2024, I scored 65/100 in physics, 62/100 in chemistry, 71/100 in maths, 94/100 in english, 89/100 in physical education. The overall percentage is 76% and 66% in PCM.

sadafreen356 12th Sep, 2024

Yes, 12th grade marks are important for getting accepted into MS programs at international universities but in addition to this universities also consider your overall application, including your bachelor's performance, test scores like GRE/GMAT, and other factors like letters of recommendation.Ultimately, a strong overall application can help compensate for weaker 12th marks.
