can i be in nda wings by taking basic maths and what all subjects should i take

Deepti Singh 28th Sep, 2024

Hello,

To join the NDA (National Defence Academy), you are required to appear for an entrance exam conducted by UPSC. For the Army wing, candidates can apply with any stream, including basic mathematics. However, for the Air Force and Navy wings, Mathematics and Physics are mandatory subjects in your 10+2.

Even if you're considering basic mathematics, it is advisable to take Science subjects, especially Physics and Chemistry, if you're aiming for the technical branches or Air Force/Navy wings. In addition to core subjects, improving your general knowledge, English, and reasoning skills is essential, as they are part of the NDA written exam.

If you're focused on the Army wing, a combination of basic mathematics with subjects that interest you can work, but opting for advanced mathematics and science will keep more options open for all branches.

Respected Sir/Mam I am having two marksheets original with all 5 subjects and second one with 3 subjects(Improvement) How should I calculate my percentage for taking admission in University?

sadafreen356 28th Sep, 2024

Out of the two the best number is taken in the main exam and improvement exam, rest the number of different subjects are taken from main exam and then divide it with total number*100 you get your result.

Note-if you have 50 marks in physics in original one and in improvement you have 90 or some other figure then the new marks will be considered for total percentage.

Enquiry for Carrier counseling after 10th standard

Deepti Singh 28th Sep, 2024

Hello,

Your career decisions after 10th standard would create a roadmap to your future life. So, begin by evaluating your interest, your strengths, and long-term goals. If you are more interested in scientific and technological matters, Science PCM or PCB might be an excellent choice for you since it can lead to a good career in engineering or medicine or research. Similarly, if you can be interested in a commercial environment, the Commerce stream might orient you toward being an accountant, management expert, or finance expert. The Arts stream is most suited if you feel enthusiastic towards subjects like humanities, social sciences, or the creative fields.

Along with vocation courses and diplomas, one can even take hands-on training in IT as well as other streams like hospitality and design. It is recommended that a candidate researches multiple streams, refers to his or her career counselor, and discusses it with professionals in different fields that interest him. After all, remember, it's a job you are going to be doing for the rest of your life, and you're only going to do it well if it corresponds to what you are passionate and capable of.

Kanishka kaushikii 28th Sep, 2024

Hello aspirant,

First of all Don't panic! It's completely understandable to feel anxious and unsure about your future, especially during this crucial time.

I am providing you some steps that you can take to address your situation:

  1. Focus on the Present: While it's important to think about the future, right now, your primary focus should be on your final exams. Do your best to prepare and study effectively.
  2. Explore Alternatives: Even if you don't pass, there are many options available to you. Consider these possibilities:
    • Retake the Exams: If you're confident in your ability to improve, retaking the exams might be a viable option.
    • Bridge Courses: Many institutions offer bridge courses that can help you catch up on missed coursework and prepare for further studies.
    • Diploma Programs: Explore diploma programs in related fields that might accept you based on your previous education.
    • Work Experience: Gaining work experience in a related field can be valuable, even if you don't have a degree.
  3. Seek Guidance: Talk to your professors, academic advisor, or a career counselor. They can provide you with personalized advice and support.
  4. Explore Other Options: If you're not interested in pursuing economics further, consider other fields that might align with your interests and skills.

I hope this helps you.

My univesrsity option is not mention in drop down menu of (Name of university), in OTR profile educational information while filling out for ESE form , what to do now ?

Deepti Singh 28th Sep, 2024

Hello,

If your university's name is not listed in the dropdown menu while filling out the educational information in your OTR (One-Time Registration) profile for the ESE form, here’s what you can do:

  1. Manual Entry : Some forms allow an "Other" option where you can manually enter the university's name. Check if such an option exists.

  2. Contact Support : Reach out to the technical support team of the exam portal. They might assist in adding your university or provide alternative solutions.

  3. Submit a Query : Use the official helpdesk or grievance redressal portal to report the issue, including screenshots if possible.

  4. Temporary Placeholder : If urgent, select a placeholder university to proceed, but inform the authorities through email or the contact page regarding the discrepancy.

Ensure to act quickly to avoid missing deadlines.
