Samprikta Mondal 10th Nov, 2024

The status of applications usually takes a pretty long time to reflect on online portals.

Here's what you can do:

Scan the Portal Regularly: Check the portal regularly and see if anything has been updated. Sometimes it might take a couple of days for the system to compute the changes.

Contact Helpdesk: You can contact the helpdesk of eGATE 2025 or concerned departments. They can let you know the status of the application and what exactly should be done to make the process smooth.

Upload and Clear Documents: Confirm all required documents are uploaded clearly.

If still nothing results from these steps, contacting the relevant authorities head-on to seek clarification and assistance is advisable.

Karo ya Maro ka Nara kisne Diya

Samprikta Mondal 10th Nov, 2024

The slogan "Karo ya Maro" (Do or Die) was given by Mahatma Gandhi during the Quit India Movement in 1942 .

This powerful slogan was a call to action for Indians to fight for independence from British rule with utmost determination and courage. It symbolized a decisive moment in India's struggle for freedom. Gandhiji urged Indians to either achieve freedom or die trying, emphasizing the need for total commitment to the cause of independence.

kis ghatna ke Karan Gandhi Ji ne asahyog aandolan sthagit Kiya

Samprikta Mondal 10th Nov, 2024

The Non-Cooperation Movement was an important phase in the struggle for India's independence. Under Mahatma Gandhi's resolve, it was to force the British government into handing over the self-rule status for India through non-violent refusal to cooperate with the British institutions.

However, the movement became tragic at the Chauri Chaura incident in February 1922. An angry mob of protesters, protesting police brutality, set the Chauri Chaura police station in a village in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh on fire. It caused the deaths of many policemen.

This really disturbed Gandhiji, because it broke away from the principle of non-violence upon which his movement was initially rested. He thought that if this kind of violence was promoted in any way, then the moral girth of the movement would get embrittled and would not be able to take steps forward to India's independence.

With this view, to prevent further aggravation of violent activities and to reaffirm his allegiance to non-violence, Gandhiji was compelled to suspend the Non-Cooperation Movement.

Mixed reactions cropped up from among the Indians and Congress party regarding the decision taken by Gandhiji. Some of the citizens supported it, while others were not happy as they felt the movement was slowing down.

Main reasons to call off the movement:

Violation of non-violence: The Chauri Chaura incident violated the fundamental principle of non-violence in extreme form.

Fear of further violence: Gandhiji felt that the same situation would recur in some other part of the country and the land would be stalked by chaos and bloodshed.

Re-evaluating strategy: Gandhiji felt that the strategy needs a re-think and then a new strategy should be devised.

The suspension of the Non-Cooperation Movement formed an important crossroads in the freedom struggle of India. It underlined problems of holding a mass movement non-violent, besides always needing to assess the strategy in motion.

Which is the main factor influencing the distribution of temperature ?

Samprikta Mondal 10th Nov, 2024

Latitude is the most significant factor that determines the distribution of temperature on Earth.

The more you are moved away from the equator, or low latitudes, the smaller your angle of incidence of the Sun's rays on the Earth becomes. The smaller the concentration of the solar energy per unit area, the smaller the temperatures at higher latitudes.

So let's break down how latitude impacts temperature.

Equatorial Regions: Receives direct sunlight throughout the year. Temperature is high.   Mid-Latitude Regions: The temperature changes at these regions. Summers are warmer, and winters are colder. Polar Regions: Receive direct sunlight in a limited manner. Temperature is relatively low.   While latitude is the biggest affecting factor, other factors also influence the temperature distribution are as well: Altitude: Temperatures decline with an increase in altitude. This is because of lowered atmospheric pressure and density.

Ocean Currents: Warm and cold ocean currents often control the temperature.

Distance from the Sea: Places with proximity to the sea tend to have temperatures that are relatively milder than those far from the sea.

Atmospheric Circulation: In the atmosphere, wind circulation and pressure systems determine temperature distribution.

However, the greatest determinant of the Earth's temperature distribution is still latitude.

Bina appeal Bina dalil Bina vakil ka Kanoon (Kala Kanoon)kise kaha gaya hai

Samprikta Mondal 10th Nov, 2024

The Rowlatt Act of 1919 was some contentious legislation brought to British India by the Indian government. It granted a huge amount of power to the hand of the government, which could imprison or detain any person on mere suspicion of indulging in seditious activities. No person arrested under this provision could appeal against their detention at law.

No right to legal representation:They were barred from having a lawyer represent them.

No chance to bring evidence:They could not even present any kind of evidence to defend themselves.

Why did it receive the tag of a 'black law'?

The very severe and prejudiced clauses of the Rowlatt Act made Indians criticize this "black law". It was a blow to civil liberties, unambiguous violation of fundamental rights. This law sparked a broad road agitation in India that led to the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre in Amritsar.

Important points to recall:

The Rowlatt Act was the most draconian law through which individual rights were taken away.

It was the primary cause of the Indian independence movement.

The dreadful Jallianwala Bagh massacre was a result of huge anger and scandal caused by the Rowlatt Act.

In this regard, it was a symbol of British repression in India as well as a spark for the Indian independence movement.
