i have completed my bsc in applied nutrition can i do msc radiology

Nitin Kumar 2nd Jul, 2024

No, with a B.Sc. in Applied Nutrition, applying for an M.Sc. in Radiology might be challenging in most universities.

Radiology is a branch of medicine that deals with medical imaging techniques like X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs. Applied Nutrition, on the other hand, focuses on the science of food and its impact on health. These fields have very different core knowledge bases.

Most M.Sc. Radiology programs require a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Medical Imaging, Radiology Technology, Radiography, or even Physics or Biology with relevant coursework. These programs equip students with the necessary foundation in medical sciences and imaging technologies for radiology studies.

  • M.Sc. in Public Health Nutrition: This program might be a better fit with your B.Sc. in Applied Nutrition. It delves deeper into the role of nutrition in public health and disease prevention.

  • Diploma in Medical Imaging: If you're highly interested in the field of radiology, you could explore a diploma or certificate program in Medical Imaging or Radiology Technology. This additional qualification, along with your B.Sc., could make you eligible for entry-level positions in the field.
