I completed my class 10th in the year 2021-22 but due to chronic medical condition i was absent in my class 12th boards in the year 2023-24 , now Im reappearing in class 12th as a regular candidate in the year 2024-25. What should I fill in my jee mains registration form ? Appearing or passed 12th?

Samprikta Mondal 11th Nov, 2024

Yes, you must choose "Appearing" for your 12th status in the JEE Main registration form.

Since you are going to reappear in your Class 12th board exams in the session 2024-25, therefore, you'll have the status of an "Appearing" candidate for JEE Main 2025 as your final results for Class 12th will be considered for eligibility and seat allotment.

When you select "Appearing", then you would be saying that you are still appearing for the class 12th and will appear in the respective year to sit for the board exams.

Always keep your admission ticket, along with other documents; this may also be needed at the time of counseling for JEE Main

All such queries or concerns you can mail or contact the National Testing Agency (NTA).

I want to know about jee mains cutoff

Tanya Gupta 11th Nov, 2024

Hello,

The JEE Main cutoff varies yearly and depends on factors like the number of applicants, exam difficulty, and seat availability. For 2024, general category cutoffs are expected around the 85-90 percentile, while reserved categories (OBC, SC, ST, etc.) typically have lower cutoffs. For top NITs or CFTIs, candidates generally need higher percentiles, around 95-98+. Official cutoffs are announced by NTA post-exam, so check for updates on the official JEE website.

Hope this helps you,

Thank you

when i am trying to apply for my ews certificate i geting option to only for ews cirtificate in my father name.I am a student of 2nd pu and want ews cirtificate for jee application.what can ido now

Samprikta Mondal 11th Nov, 2024

The unfortunate part of an EWS certificate is that they are issued in the name of the head of family. This is since EWS criteria is held on the basis of overall annual income and asset holding by the family.

However, you can still try the following:

You may even consult your local Tehsildar- place your case before the Tehsildar's office. They may be able to guide you in what to do next with your application.

It is specific in some states by the guidelines they give to the students applying for the certificate. Check with local authorities on current updates.

Central Government Guidelines:

The central government guidelines for EWS certificates may provide for specific provisions on students applying for higher education. Consult Legal Advice

If you have problem then approach a lawyer. He can give you proper legal guidance for walking through the process.

Don't forget all the essential documents such as income certificates, property documents, etc. supporting the EWS claim.

Start on time so that one gets all the required documents in hand and submits them by time, thereby completing the whole application procedure for JEE.
