I was born in Jaipur, Rajasthan but shifted to delhi when i was 6 and since class second all my education school, college is done here in delhi only. i want to give govt exam of rajasthan state. It asks if i am a resident of Rajasthan or not . will i be considered a resident of rajasthan.?

Deepti Singh 27th Sep, 2024

Hello!

Since you have born in Rajasthan but all your studied life in Delhi, you may not get a direct reservation of being a Rajasthan resident to write the exam for state governments. Usually it requires belonging to any state either by continuing there, or you have educated yourself there, or received a domicile certificate from that state.

You would probably have to get a domicile certificate from the state of Rajasthan to become a resident of Rajasthan. A domicile certificate is issued when a person has properties or even his or her family has their property holdings in that state, or when one is residing in that state for a relatively longer period, or in such cases where a person's parents have some government service ties within that particular state. You may check the eligibility criteria for domicile in Rajasthan and apply there, or through local authorities or even online on the portals of the Rajasthan government if needed.

This certificate will serve to determine your residency status for state exams.

i didnt get seat in phase 1 counselling of neet and i want to take long term so i want to exit counselling how can i exit from ap state counsellingg

Deepti Singh 27th Sep, 2024

Hello,

If you did not get a seat in the first round of NEET counselling and also do not wish to remain in the counselling process in order to prepare for a long term instead of proceeding further, then you can follow these steps below to withdraw from the counselling:

  • Go to the NEET counselling portal and enter using your login credentials.
  • Find the "Withdrawing" or "Exit" option; the words may vary based on the state or national counseling process.
  • Now proceed according to instructions to withdraw from the counselling process.
  • Consider submitting documents where necessary, as a request to withdraw may have to be written by some counselling authority.
  • Keep proof of your withdrawal for future reference.

To drop from the counseling process is to miss the following rounds. So, be sure it's just what you want, and walk out. Go on to spend the year really preparing yourself for NEET, so you have a better chance next year.
