I missed the last date of marks entry.what should I do ?is there any option to fix?

monag2673 16th Sep, 2024

Missing the last date for marks entry can be stressful, but there are potential steps you can take to resolve the issue:

1. **Contact the Institution**: Reach out to your school, college, or university administration immediately. They may have specific policies in place for late submissions or offer a grace period for genuine reasons. Explain your situation clearly and provide any relevant documents or proof of why you missed the deadline.

2. **Submit a Formal Request**: If your institution allows, submit a formal written request (via email or letter) explaining your circumstances. Be polite and professional, and if possible, include any supporting documents that show the reason for the delay.

3. **Look for an Appeal Option**: Some institutions may have an appeals process for missed deadlines. Check if your institution provides this option and follow the required procedures.

4. **Escalate if Necessary**: If the institution is unresponsive, consider escalating the matter to higher authorities like the academic head or registrar.

5. **Stay Updated**: Keep track of further updates or announcements regarding deadlines to avoid missing any future opportunities.

Taking quick and decisive action can increase the chances of a positive resolution.

No, there are no "state-level IITs" in India. The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are national institutions and are not divided by states. Here's a simple breakdown:

IITs

  • National Institutions : IITs are part of a national network of engineering colleges governed by the central government of India.
  • Location : IITs are spread across various states in India, but they are not categorized by states. They are managed and operated centrally.

Admission to IITs

  1. Entrance Exams :

    • JEE Main : The first step to enter an IIT is to clear the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main.
    • JEE Advanced : After qualifying JEE Main, you need to take JEE Advanced. Only the top candidates from JEE Main are eligible for JEE Advanced.

Is state level IIT have or not

Deepti Singh 16th Sep, 2024

Hello!!

India does not have "state-level IITs". IITs are independent public institutions of technology and science. They are autonomous institutions funded by the central government of India. They are all part of the same system and function according to a single structure administered by the IIT Council. There is no such thing called a state-level IIT under the present scheme.

About IITs :

  • Centralized System: IITs are institutes owned by central governments; the management is dealt with by the central governing authorities. The administrative and funding burdens rest with central authorities, and the system is followed as per the national-level model of governance. Thus, a standard quality of education and research is maintained throughout the IITs.
  • Admission: IIT admission is made centrally through the Joint Entrance Examination- JEE Main and the JEE Advanced, which are national-level entrance examinations. This ensures that all the IITs choose their students based on a uniform set of criteria and exams.
  • Importance to the Nation: For reasons of excellence, be it academics or cutting-edge research and contributions to the nation in terms of technology and innovation, IITs rank among the best institutions in the country, both for engineering and even more so for their national and international impacts.
  • State-Level Institutions: Although there are many excellent state-level engineering colleges and universities in India, they consist of a system that is quite different from IIT. Every state has state governments to administer and fund these state-level institutions that reserve and admit students and set their curricula.
  • Recent Trends: The Indian Government has been establishing new IITs in different states which are technically still a part of the national IIT system. The purpose is to expand access to quality technical education in all parts of the country, yet all IITs remain centrally governed.

In essence, IITs are national institutions and centrally administered. There exists no IIT that can be considered as a state-level body.

Thankyou!!

Government law college seats available for me

Prachi Kumari 16th Sep, 2024

Hello,

To determine whether government law college seats are available for you, factors such as your entrance exam score, domicile status, category (general, OBC, SC/ST), and state quotas will come into play. Admission to government law colleges is generally based on entrance exams like CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) for national-level institutes or state-level exams like MH CET Law for specific states.

If you’ve taken an entrance exam, checking the cut-off scores for the previous year at government colleges will help gauge your chances. Additionally, domicile advantages can improve your chances of securing a seat in state law colleges.

Hope it helps !
