any student get medical College in Karnataka neet based on father PWD status?say any one incident happened in past

Kanishka kaushikii 11th Sep, 2024

Yes, students can get medical colleges in Karnataka based on their father's PWD (Persons with Disabilities) status. Karnataka has a reservation quota for candidates with disabilities, which includes those whose parents or guardians have disabilities.

How it works:

  • Reservation Quota: Karnataka has a specific reservation quota for candidates with disabilities, which includes those whose parents or guardians have disabilities. This quota varies from year to year but generally ranges between 3% to 5%.
  • Eligibility: To be eligible for the PWD quota, you or your father must have a disability certificate issued by a competent authority. The type and degree of disability will determine your eligibility for the quota.
  • Counseling Process: During the NEET counseling process in Karnataka, candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for the PWD quota will be considered separately. They will be allotted seats based on their NEET rank and the availability of seats in the PWD quota.

Important Notes:

  • The exact reservation percentage and eligibility criteria may change from year to year. It's essential to refer to the official Karnataka NEET counseling brochure for the most accurate information.
  • The competition for seats under the PWD quota can be high, so it's important to have a strong NEET rank to increase your chances of securing a medical college.

    I hope it helps.

Hello everyone, I opted for government college in UP neet ug councelling first round. And I want to opt for private colleges also in UP neet ug second round. What should I do.?

Kanishka kaushikii 11th Sep, 2024

Congratulations on securing a government college in the first round of UP NEET UG counseling! If you're considering exploring private college options in the second round, here's a step-by-step guide:

1. Understand the Process:

  • Registration: Ensure you've registered for the second round of counseling. This usually involves paying a registration fee.
  • Choice Filling: You'll need to fill out a new preference list, including both government and private colleges. Prioritize private colleges based on your preferences and budget.
  • Seat Allotment: The counseling authority will allocate seats based on your rank and preferences.

2. Consider Factors:

  • Fees: Private colleges often have higher tuition fees than government institutions. Carefully assess your financial situation.

  • Infrastructure: Research the facilities, faculty, and overall infrastructure of private colleges you're considering.

  • Location: If location is a factor, consider the proximity of private colleges to your home or desired city.
  • Academic Reputation: Check the college's reputation for academic excellence and student outcomes.
  • 3. Prepare for the Second Round:

    • Gather Documents: Ensure you have all the necessary documents ready for verification, such as your NEET scorecard, 10th and 12th certificates, and income certificate (if applicable).
    • Research Colleges: Explore the websites and brochures of private colleges in UP to gather information about their courses, facilities, and admission criteria.
    • Consult with Seniors: Talk to seniors or students who have attended private colleges in UP to get their insights and experiences.
  • 4. Make an Informed Decision:

    • Weigh Pros and Cons: Carefully consider the advantages and disadvantages of both government and private colleges.
    • Prioritize Your Needs: Determine what's most important to you, such as affordability, location, or academic reputation.
    • Consult with Parents or Guardians: Discuss your options with your family to make a decision that aligns with your goals and financial capabilities.
  • Remember: While private colleges may offer certain advantages, it's essential to choose an institution that aligns with your academic and personal aspirations. Consider all factors before making a final decision.

if I took admission in silchar medical college assam through all india quota then will i have to do the 5 year bond service? or one year rural bond? or both?

Kanishka kaushikii 11th Sep, 2024

Yes, if you take admission in Silchar Medical College Assam through the All India Quota, you will be required to complete a mandatory one-year rural service bond.

This is a common requirement for medical graduates who receive government-funded medical education, especially those admitted through the All India Quota. The rural service bond ensures that doctors contribute to healthcare in underserved areas.

Please note that the specific terms and conditions of the bond, such as the duration and the location of rural service, may vary slightly depending on the state and the medical college. It's advisable to check the official guidelines or contact the Silchar Medical College administration for the most accurate information.

I hope it helps !!
