9 class students can apply for scholarships

monag2673 11th Sep, 2024

Scholarship Opportunities for 9th Graders

While scholarships are often associated with college, many are available for high school students, including those in the 9th grade. These scholarships can provide financial assistance for various expenses, such as tuition, fees, books, or living costs.

Here are some common types of scholarships available for 9th graders:

  • Academic Scholarships: These are awarded based on academic achievements, such as high grades, standardized test scores, or participation in academic clubs or competitions.
  • Need-Based Scholarships: These are given to students who demonstrate financial need. The criteria for determining need can vary, but often include factors like family income, number of dependents, and other financial obligations.
  • Merit Scholarships: These are awarded based on a combination of academic achievement and other factors, such as extracurricular activities, community service, or leadership skills.
  • Specific Scholarships: Some scholarships are targeted towards students with specific characteristics, such as being a member of a particular ethnic or racial group, having a certain disability, or being from a specific geographic area.

To find scholarships that match your qualifications, you can:

  • Check with your school counselor: They can provide information about scholarships available through your school or district.
  • Search online databases: Websites like Scholarship America, Fastweb, and Cappex offer comprehensive databases of scholarships.
  • Contact organizations relevant to your interests: If you have a particular interest or passion, look for scholarships offered by organizations related to that field.

By exploring these options, 9th graders can increase their chances of receiving financial aid and pursuing their educational goals.

Many colleges and universities offer hostel facilities for boys, but the availability depends on the specific institution. Hostel fees and amenities, such as meals, Wi-Fi, and room types, vary from one institution to another. For accurate details regarding a particular institution's hostel, including fees and room availability, it's best to visit the college's official website or contact their administration office directly.

Hope this helps you,

sadafreen356 11th Sep, 2024

It is not necessary to accept college at first allotment in keam if you are not satisfied with your college go for upgrade option in your second round but remember you might loose your seat in round 1 if you exercise upgrade option.seat allocation is based on availability so if your choice college is not available in 2nd round they will not allot you.

The reservation category mentioned in my candidate portal is Ezhava whereas in the provisional allotment list of Keam Ayush/allied courses published dated 11/09/2024 my seat type is SM- EZ. Why its so? Am I eligible fully for reservation under ezhava category?

monag2673 11th Sep, 2024

The discrepancy you observe between the reservation category mentioned in your candidate portal (Ezhava) and the seat type in the provisional KEAM allotment list (SM-EZ) can be explained by the way KEAM categorizes seats during the counseling process.

In the KEAM allotment system, **SM** refers to seats allocated under the **State Merit** category, which are open to all candidates based on their rank and merit, irrespective of their reservation category. **EZ** denotes the **Ezhava** reservation category. This means you have been allotted a seat based on your overall merit, but your Ezhava category is also reflected in the seat type.

Yes, you are fully eligible for reservation under the Ezhava category. However, in this instance, the allotment might have occurred through the State Merit list because your rank was high enough to secure a seat without needing to use your Ezhava reservation. In future rounds, if a seat under the Ezhava quota opens up in a higher preference course, you might still be allotted that based on your reservation eligibility.

Ensure you verify all details with the KEAM counseling authorities to clarify any doubts regarding the seat allotment process.

I got seat in this college IT branch due to my health condition I want to drop this course and I want to join degree in my home town can I get my originals certificates back from this college

monag2673 11th Sep, 2024

Yes, you can request your original certificates back from the college if you decide to drop the course due to health reasons and wish to join a degree program in your hometown. Colleges are required to return original documents upon withdrawal of admission, though the process may vary depending on the institution's policies.

Here's what you should do:

1. **Submit a Formal Application**: Write a formal letter to the college administration explaining your situation, including your health condition, and request the return of your original certificates.

2. **Consult Admission Policies**: Review the college's admission and withdrawal policies. Some colleges may charge a nominal fee or deduct a portion of the fee for administrative purposes when withdrawing.

3. **Provide Medical Proof**: If your health condition is a significant reason for withdrawal, it might help to attach a medical certificate or proof to support your case, as this may expedite the process.

4. **Meet Deadlines**: Ensure that you follow any deadlines mentioned in the college's withdrawal policy to avoid complications in retrieving your documents.

By following these steps and clearly communicating with the college administration, you should be able to retrieve your original certificates and move forward with your plans to pursue a degree in your hometown.

The reservation category mentioned in my candidate portal is Ezhava whereas in the provisional allotment list of Ayush/allied courses published dated 11/09/2024 my seat type is SM- EZ. Why its so? Am I eligible fully for reservation under ezhava category?

itsprashil6260 11th Sep, 2024

Hey there I am glad to help you out i hope this helps you

The seat type "SM-EZ" in the allotment list likely indicates "State Merit - Ezhava." In this case, your seat has been allotted under the state merit category, but you are also classified as belonging to the Ezhava community.

Although you belong to the Ezhava category, which falls under a reserved category, the "SM" prefix suggests that you were allotted a seat based on merit rather than reservation. This is common when a candidate's rank is high enough to qualify for a seat under the general merit list but still maintains the community classification for record purposes.

To clarify your eligibility for full reservation benefits under the Ezhava category, check if:

1. You have submitted the required community certificate during the application process.

2. Your community status is valid and recognized by the relevant authorities.

If both of these are in order, you remain eligible for full benefits under the Ezhava category. However, in this case, your seat was allocated on merit, possibly due to a strong rank.

You can also contact the admission authorities for further clarification if needed.
