my UG is based on biotechnolgy and genetics. Whick will be better for me, marine biology or marine biotechnology?

kumardurgesh1802 22nd Nov, 2024

Hello Hasmitha,

Both marine biology and marine biotechnology can be excellent choices for someone with a background in biotechnology and genetics. Here's how they differ and which might suit you better:

Marine Biology:

  • Focus : Study of marine organisms, ecosystems, and their interactions with the environment.

  • Applications : Conservation, ecosystem management, and understanding biodiversity.

  • Suitability : If you are interested in fieldwork, ecological studies, or marine species' genetic diversity, this could be a good fit.

    Marine Biotechnology:

  • Focus : Application of biotechnology techniques to marine resources for purposes like drug discovery, aquaculture, and bioengineering.

  • Applications : Pharmaceuticals, industrial enzymes, biofuels, and sustainable aquaculture.

  • Suitability : If you want to work on research-driven innovation, such as using marine organisms for biotech solutions, this aligns well with your background in genetics.

    Recommendation:

  • Marine Biotechnology might leverage your biotechnology and genetics foundation better, as it integrates those skills directly into applied science and innovation.

  • Opt for Marine Biology if you have a passion for ecological studies or conservation-focused work.

Consider your career goals—whether they lean towards research, industry applications, or environmental conservation—before making your decision.

Is Diploma in Architecture still available..? What is the fees after Diploma in Civil Engineering..? Is it possible to do it externally..??

kumardurgesh1802 22nd Nov, 2024

Hello there,

Yes, a Diploma in Architecture is still available and is offered by various polytechnic institutes and universities in India. This program is typically of 3 years duration and focuses on architectural design, building construction, and planning.

Key Points:

  1. Eligibility :

You are eligible to pursue this diploma after completing a Diploma in Civil Engineering , as both fields share foundational subjects. Some colleges may require specific academic performance.

  2. Fees :

The fees for a Diploma in Architecture vary but generally range between Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 1,50,000 per year , depending on the institution (private or government).

  3. External Mode :

While most diploma programs are conducted in regular mode, a few universities and institutes may offer distance learning or external mode , provided you meet their eligibility criteria. It’s best to verify this with the institution of your choice.

  4. Further Pathways :

After completing a Diploma in Architecture, you can pursue advanced programs like B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture) or certifications in specialized fields like urban planning or sustainable architecture. Some universities may offer lateral entry into the second year of B.Arch for diploma holders.

For admissions, check out government polytechnics, reputed private colleges, or online offerings from universities that cater to working professionals.

Annu Kumari 21st Nov, 2024

The choice of field depends on your interest. For NFAT exam, candidates must have passed class 12th from a recognised board. After cracking the exam, you can get admission to nfsu for forensic science course. You can know more about NFAT exam by clicking NFAT 2025 . There are various career options after b.sc forensic science like forensic Laboratory Analyst, crime scene investigators, forensic psychology, forensic scientist etc. To know more about forensic science course, college and career options ,you can check Forensic Science .

IAT exam is conducted by IISER for admission to various programs. To know about iat exam ,check IISER Aptitude test . To know more about b.sc bioinformatics, you can check Bioinformatics courses .

As both the exam are quite challenging and needs lot of your attention and time. So, instead of jumbling between the two, try to focus more on one that is your interest. You need to be sure about types of work you would like and work environment and kind of job roles to choose.

bsc radiology or bpt which is better option

Sajal Trivedi 23rd Nov, 2024

Hello aspirant,

Both courses are worthwhile and significant in their own right. Because more people are becoming aware of it, the field of physiotherapy, or BPT for short, is growing every day. The main drawback is that there is a lot of competition.
Because physiotherapy bachelor's degree programs offer self-employment alternatives and allow for the completion of a master's degree with specialization for improved career prospects, I will argue that physiotherapy is superior to radiology and imaging technology.

Thank you

Hope it helps you

Recently I completed my graduation in radiology technician and degree has name bachelor of vocational ( Bvoc) . so i decided to do master in nuclear medicine technology (Msc). which colleges that I will get chance to do Msc?

Samprikta Mondal 20th Nov, 2024

You will have to check the eligibility criteria of different colleges offering M.Sc. in Nuclear Medicine Technology. Straight entry opportunities exist for a B.Sc. in Radiotherapy and Radiology, but not necessarily all M.Sc. courses with a B.Voc. in Radiology Technology.

Here are some options:

1. Direct Admission:

Contact Colleges: Contact colleges offering M.Sc. in Nuclear Medicine Technology and ask for eligibility through a B.Voc. Many colleges may consider your practical exposure and marks.

Entrance Exams: A diploma candidate can opt for entrance exams like GATE or any entrance exam of the college/university. A good score will boost possibilities to get admissions.

2. Diploma in Nuclear Medicine Technology:

Consider diploma in Nuclear Medicine Technology. This can bridge the gap between the B.Voc. and M.Sc. requirements.

3. Research and Networking:

Stay informed about admissions as well as the latest information about eligibility criteria.

Network with professionals who can give good insights as well as guidance.

Scouting research or internship opportunities to add value to your profile.

Here are some of the repute M.Sc. institutions in India offering Nuclear Medicine Technology:

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi

Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh

Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai

Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai

Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal

Always verify the eligibility criteria as well as the admission procedure of each college to which you plan to apply.

I did my 12th [bio stream] {CBSE BOARD} after taking drop I did maths from up board as a private candidate. How should i fill form of neet or jee exam... i mean to ask what should i fill? And by thinking such complicated process now I want leave maths 12th exam so does it will affect my prev. result?

Prachi Kumari 20th Nov, 2024

Hello Kavya,

Here is an overview of your problem, and its solution :-

  1. Filling NEET Form

    • Eligibility : NEET requires you to have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology from a recognized board. Your CBSE 12th result is sufficient.
    • Details to Fill : Use your CBSE 12th details for NEET application. Do not mention your UP Board private attempt at math if you're dropping it.
  2. Filling JEE Form

    • Eligibility : JEE requires Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 12th. If you're dropping the UP Board Math exam, you won't meet this criterion, and applying for JEE won't be valid.
  3. Impact of Dropping UP Board Math

    • It won't affect your CBSE 12th result or eligibility for NEET because they're independent. Dropping the math exam simply means you won't qualify for math-related entrances like JEE.
  4. Simplify Your Decision

    • Focus on NEET if you're inclined towards medicine or biology-related fields.
    • Avoid confusion by leaving the UP Board math attempt officially incomplete; it won't interfere with your CBSE credentials.

Conclusion : Drop the math attempt without worry and focus on NEET preparation using your CBSE bio stream qualifications.

sir I discontinued the course in Bsc second year in 2020. I didnt even take any class or give any semester. In my CLC it says discontinue course. After that I am preparing for neet ug. Will there be any problem in neet counseling in my future like discontinue CLC or something?

Prachi Kumari 20th Nov, 2024

Hello,

No, discontinuing your BSc course will not cause significant issues in NEET UG counselling, as long as you meet the eligibility criteria for NEET UG. Here are key points to consider:

  1. Eligibility for NEET UG :

    • Ensure you meet the minimum educational qualifications for NEET UG, i.e., 10+2 with required PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) marks.
  2. Discontinued Course :

    • NEET counselling focuses on NEET scores and eligibility, not on past incomplete courses.
  3. Document Verification :

    • Carry your Class 10 and Class 12 certificates during counselling. Your BSc discontinuation certificate (CLC) may not be relevant unless specifically asked.
  4. Focus on NEET Scores :

    • Your NEET UG score and category rank hold primary importance.
  5. Explain if Needed :

    • If asked, you can explain your preparation decision for NEET UG clearly.

Prepare thoroughly for NEET UG and document requirements; your BSc status should not hinder your counselling process.

Hope it helps !
