Will I get admission in PHD after B pharmacy?

kumardurgesh1802 27th Feb, 2025

Hello Saurav,

No, you generally cannot get direct admission into a PhD after B.Pharm . Most universities require a Master's degree (M.Pharm or related field) . However, some institutes like NIPER, IITs, or foreign universities may offer direct PhD programs for exceptional candidates with research experience.

You can also apply for Integrated PhD programs or go for M.Pharm + PhD to improve your chances.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

  1. NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) allows students to reappear in failed subjects or take fresh exams.

  2. Once you pass the NIOS 12th exam, you will be considered Class 12 qualified.

  3. NEET Eligibility: NIOS Class 12 pass students are eligible for NEET, provided they meet the PCB subject and minimum marks criteria (40% for OBC/SC/ST, 50% for General).

I got 147 marks in PCB group in 12th Maharashtra board in OBC category, Am I eligible for neet exam throughout addmission for other states ??

kumardurgesh1802 26th Feb, 2025

Hello there,

No, you are not eligible for NEET as per current eligibility criteria.

NEET Eligibility Criteria (PCB Marks in 12th):

For OBC candidates , you need at least:

  • 40% aggregate in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology)
  • This means minimum 140 marks out of 350 in PCB (for Maharashtra Board)

Since you have 147 marks in PCB , you are eligible for NEET UG . However, for MBBS admission in other states , eligibility depends on the state’s cutoff and admission rules.

You can apply for private colleges and deemed universities , but government colleges have higher cutoffs. Check the specific state's admission criteria before applying!

Hello i am an NEET student from Maharashtra i got 147 in PCB boards i am eligible because of obc eligibility but am i eligible for other states also??

sadafreen356 26th Feb, 2025

As an OBC candidate from Maharashtra, you're eligible for NEET admissions in Maharashtra. However, for other states, the eligibility criteria might differ.

All India Quota (AIQ) and State Quota:

1. All India Quota (AIQ): 15% of seats in government colleges are reserved for AIQ. You can apply for AIQ seats in any state, regardless of your domicile.

2. State Quota: 85% of seats in government colleges are reserved for state quota. For state quota seats, you'll need to fulfill the eligibility criteria of the respective state.

Eligibility for Other States:

To be eligible for state quota seats in other states, you'll typically need to:

1. Meet the state's eligibility criteria: Each state has its own eligibility criteria, which might include domicile requirements, minimum qualifying marks, or other conditions.

2. Fulfill the state's reservation policies: Some states have different reservation policies, which might affect your eligibility.

Some popular states for NEET admissions, along with their eligibility criteria, are:

- Karnataka: You'll need to fulfill the Karnataka domicile criteria or have studied in a Karnataka school for at least 7 years.

- Tamil Nadu: You'll need to fulfill the Tamil Nadu domicile criteria or have studied in a Tamil Nadu school for at least 5 years.

- Gujarat: You'll need to fulfill the Gujarat domicile criteria or have studied in a Gujarat school for at least 3 years

I hope this information helps you plan your NEET admissions strategy!

kumardurgesh1802 26th Feb, 2025

Hello there,

Since you are appearing for the second compartment exam in Chemistry in February/March , your final qualification status will be determined after you pass it .

For NEET 2025 , you should fill:

NEET Qualification Code:

  • If you clear Chemistry before NEET 2025 registrations close, use Code 2 (12th pass with PCB).

  • If you are still waiting for Chemistry results at the time of registration, use Code 1 (appearing for Class 12 exams).

Once you pass both subjects, you will be fully eligible for NEET. Make sure to update your details if required during the correction window.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

I am obc from maharashtra i got 147 in (pcb) boards, am i eligible for mbbs in other states.

kumardurgesh1802 26th Feb, 2025

Hello student,

No, with 147 marks in PCB in your Maharashtra board exams, you are not eligible for MBBS in most states. According to NMC (National Medical Commission) rules , a candidate must score at least 50% in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) for General category and 40% for OBC/SC/ST to be eligible for MBBS admission.

Since you belong to OBC , you need at least 40% of the total PCB marks (which is 160 out of 400 in Maharashtra boards). With 147 marks , you fall short of the minimum eligibility criteria.

You may need to improve your PCB marks through supplementary exams or consider alternative medical courses like BAMS, BHMS, or B.Sc. in medical fields .

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Hello aspirant,

As an OBC (D3 category) student from Maharashtra , you need to aim for at least 520-550+ marks in NEET 2025 to have a good chance of getting an MBBS seat in a Government Medical College (GMC) through State Quota .

Expected NEET Score for GMC Admission (OBC - D3) Maharashtra:

  • Top GMCs (e.g., GMC Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur): 560-580+
  • Mid-tier GMCs (e.g., GMC Akola, Aurangabad, Latur): 530-550+
  • Lower cut-off GMCs (e.g., GMC Gondia, Chandrapur, Dhule): 510-530+

Cutoffs vary every year based on difficulty level, number of applicants, and seat availability . If you want a sure-shot seat in a good GMC, aim for 550+ marks .
