Hey, My son applied for NEET 2024 under General Category, now can i change to BCA with valid certificate while registering for counselling.
Yes, you can change the category from General to BCA (Backward Class-A) during the NEET 2024 counseling process, provided you have a valid BCA certificate.
Here’s what you should do:
1. Obtain the Valid Certificate: Ensure you have the official and valid BCA certificate before the counseling process begins.
2. Counseling Registration: During the NEET counseling registration, there is usually an option to update or correct your details, including the category. You can select the BCA category at that stage.
3. Documentation: During the document verification process in counseling, you will need to present your BCA certificate along with other required documents.
If you're unsure about the process or if there are any restrictions, it's advisable to contact the NEET counseling authorities or the respective state medical counseling committee for guidance.

I got 1146 rank in apicet 2024 i am bca category female so will i get mca seat in jntuk ?
Predicting your chances of securing an MCA seat in JNTUK with a rank of 1146 in the BCA category is challenging without the specific cutoff data for this year.
However, given that you belong to the BCA category and are a female candidate, your chances of securing a seat in JNTUK are reasonably good. The BCA category often has lower cutoffs compared to the general category, and there are also reservations for women candidates, which can work in your favor.
To get a clearer picture, you should:
- Check the previous year's cutoffs: Analyze the cutoff trends for the BCA category and female candidates in JNTUK.
- Consider different colleges: JNTUK has multiple campuses and colleges. Explore options beyond the main campus.
- Participate in counseling: Attend the APICET counseling process to understand your exact position and available options.
Remember, the final decision depends on various factors, including the total number of applicants, available seats, and the performance of other candidates.

I passed all subjects except maths in ISC class 12 so can I get admission in bca any private college
Hello,
Yes, you can still get admission to a BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) program in some private colleges even if you did not pass Mathematics in your Class 12 ISC exams. However, it will depend on the specific admission criteria of the colleges you are considering.
Steps to Find Suitable Colleges:
-
Research Colleges:
- Look for private colleges that offer BCA programs and review their eligibility criteria.
- Some colleges may require Mathematics at the 10+2 level, but others may not have this requirement or may offer alternative pathways for students without Mathematics.
-
Contact Admissions Offices:
- Directly contact the admissions offices of the colleges you are interested in to inquire about their specific requirements and whether they accept students who have not passed Mathematics.
-
Consider Bridge Courses:
- Some colleges might offer bridge courses or remedial classes to help students who did not pass Mathematics meet the necessary prerequisites for the BCA program.
-
Alternative Qualifications:
- Highlight any other qualifications or skills you have that might strengthen your application, such as computer science courses, certifications, or relevant experience.
Examples of Possible Colleges:
-
Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR), Pune:
- Known for flexible admission criteria and might consider students without Mathematics if they have other strong qualifications.
-
Christ University, Bangalore:
- Offers a BCA program and may have specific pathways for students without Mathematics.
-
Amity University:
- Known for its wide range of programs and flexible admission policies.
-

Tips for Application:
- Prepare a Strong Application: Emphasize your strengths in other subjects and any relevant skills or experiences you have in the field of computer science or IT.
- Explore Multiple Options: Apply to several colleges to increase your chances of admission.
- Seek Guidance: If possible, seek guidance from educational counselors or advisors who can provide more personalized recommendations based on your academic background and interests.
