Sarishti bhagi 23rd Mar, 2025

Hi rachna

Pursuing medical studies or MBBS in the USA or Australia can be a bit complex, but I'll break down the steps for you:

USA:

1. *Undergraduate degree*: Complete a bachelor's degree in a science-related field (e.g., biology, chemistry, or physics) from an accredited US institution.

2. *MCAT*: Take the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) to demonstrate your knowledge and skills in areas like biology, chemistry, physics, and critical thinking.

3. *Medical school*: Apply to medical schools in the US that are accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). Some popular medical schools include Harvard, Stanford, and Johns Hopkins.

4. *Clinical rotations*: Complete clinical rotations in various specialties during your final two years of medical school.

5. *Residency*: Apply for a residency program in your chosen specialty after graduating from medical school.

6. *Licensure*: Obtain a medical license by passing the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) series.

Australia:

1. *Undergraduate degree*: Complete a bachelor's degree in a science-related field (e.g., medicine, health sciences, or biomedical sciences) from an Australian institution.

2. *GAMSAT*: Take the Graduate Australian Medical Schools Admissions Test (GAMSAT) to demonstrate your knowledge and skills in areas like biology, chemistry, physics, and critical thinking.

3. *Medical school*: Apply to medical schools in Australia that are accredited by the Australian Medical Council (AMC). Some popular medical schools include the University of Melbourne, the University of Sydney, and Monash University.

4. *Clinical placements*: Complete clinical placements in various specialties during your final two years of medical school.

5. *Internship*: Complete a one-year internship after graduating from medical school.

6. *Residency*: Apply for a residency program in your chosen specialty after completing your internship.

7. *Registration*: Register with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) to practice as a medical practitioner.

Additional Requirements:

1. *English language proficiency*: Demonstrate English language proficiency by taking exams like TOEFL or IELTS.

2. *Visa requirements*: Obtain a student visa for the US or Australia, depending on your country of origin.

3. *Financial support*: Demonstrate sufficient financial support to cover tuition fees, living expenses, and other costs.

Challenges:

1. *Competition*: Admission to medical schools in the US and Australia is highly competitive.

2. *High tuition fees*: Tuition fees for medical schools in the US and Australia can be very high.

3. *Different accreditation systems*: Medical schools in the US and Australia have different accreditation systems, which can affect the recognition of your degree in other countries.

I hope this helps! If you have more specific questions or concerns, feel free to ask.

I have decided to do my masters in biotech from germany i had a question that along with ielts and german proficiency test do we have to also give gate or gre test

Prachi Kumari 20th Mar, 2025

Hello,

It depends on the university you are applying to. Most German universities do not require GATE for admission to a Master's in Biotechnology. However, some universities may ask for the GRE , especially if you are applying to a highly competitive program.

You should check the specific admission requirements of the universities you are interested in. Generally, having IELTS (or TOEFL) and a German language proficiency certificate (if the course is in German) is enough.

Hope it helps !

i got 51 number in sat and 62 number in mat nmms class 8 bihar 2024-25 can i got select?

Prachi Kumari 2nd Mar, 2025

Hello,

Based on previous year trends, your selection for the NMMS scholarship in Bihar is unlikely. Here's why:

  • Qualifying Marks : General category students must score at least 40% (36/90) in both MAT and SAT, while reserved categories require 32% (29/90).
  • Your Scores : You achieved 51 in SAT and 62 in MAT, totaling 113 marks.
  • Previous Cut-Offs : General category cut-offs range between 120-150 marks, while reserved categories fall between 90-95 marks.
  • Scholarship Quota : Bihar awards scholarships to 5,433 students annually.
  • Topper Scores : In 2024, top scores ranged from 140 to 153 marks.

With a total score of 113, your selection is unlikely.

Hope you find it useful !

For USMLE Step 1, exam dates are available anytime of the year or is there specific dates set

Tanya Gupta 27th Jan, 2025

The USMLE Step 1 exam is available throughout the year, with no specific dates set. Candidates can schedule their exam on any date within their eligibility period, which is a three-month window chosen during registration. Testing occurs at Prometric centers worldwide, but availability depends on location and demand, so early scheduling is recommended to secure your preferred date and center. Additionally, rescheduling is allowed, though fees may apply depending on how close the exam date is. It’s essential to plan well in advance to align the exam date with your preparation timeline and avoid last-minute stress.

IIMS or IITS accepting Indian students through GMAT, freshers, Graduated from Bachelors in Technology.

Vanshika Agarwal 15th Jan, 2025

No, IIMs or Indian Institutes of Management and IITs or Indian Institutes of Technology generally do not accept GMAT scores for admission to their flagship two-year MBA programs for fresh graduates with Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degrees. IIMs primarily consider the Common Admission Test (CAT) for admission to their flagship MBA programs. IITs also primarily consider the CAT for admission to their management programs.

However some IIMs in India do accept GMAT scores for admission to their flagship MBA programs, primarily for the foreign students.
