PhD in Management in USA is extremely competitive. It requires a GRE or GMAT score, recommendation letters, good academic score and research publications ( not mandatory) an added bonus. There are numerous schools you can explore depending on your preferences and research interests.
Some of the good business schools in the HR/ OB area are Stanford, UCB, University of Miami, Columbia, Harvard to name a few. you could start by contacting their faculty to check if your research interests aligns with theirs.
Your work experience will stand to your benefit. Be sure to get recommendation letter from employers.
Most of the PhD programmes there are fully funded and last 4-5 years. In the first two years you complete a platheora of courses and only after clearing your comprehensive exams, are u eligible for PhD candidacy.
You will get TA/ RA assistantships along with your regular stipend that would help you be comfortable financially.
