Hello Student

Being an engineering graduate you should take the branch of civil or mechanical or electrical or electronics study of courses. The branches of engineering course is popular and acceptable for union public Service commission-that is of civil services examination.  There is some factors to choose optional subjects for civil or Indian administrative services  those are -the subject should be scoring,

The syllabus will be less,

Materials are easily available,,

Subject suits your aptitude.

For the optional  choice of core subjects will be possibly not so scoring. The subjects related to BTech courses like physics and mathematics will be the best choices for optional subjects in UPSC civil services examination.

Computer Science Engineering in Manipal University will be the best.

Hope this will help.
