10th percentage 93, 12th percentage 86.8, btech 6.28/10. What score do i need in CAT to get into IIMs, MDI, SP JAIN or NITIE?
*your score in comparison with - scores of the other students (how better are you as compared to them)
*difficulty level of the exam in that year
*your slot of exam (to certain extent)
*your sectional scores (in VA, DILR, QA)
With this let me bring to your notice that there have been cases wherein a student in one particular year with a score of 105-110 got 81 percentile but another student with the same range of score in the next year got 91 percentile. This variation is attributed to the difficulty level of the paper and performance of students in that level of difficulty.
Moreover, with your decent acads, an attempt of 60+ questions with 95% accuracy will fetch you 98+ percentile. A score of 180 at a moderate difficulty level of paper touches a percentile of 99. So a successful achievement of 99+ percentile might help you in cracking the calls of the creme B- schools ( provided you meet few of their other requirements too.)
Hope this helps.!
Wish you all the best :)
To get a call from top 3 IIMs i.e. IIM A, B and C you need to get atleast above 99.67+ percentile. For other old IIMs like IIM L, K and Indore you need to score atleast above 98.5+ percentile. With 95+ percentile you can get calls from all new IIMs.
With 96+ percentile you can also get a call from MDI Gurgaon and NITIE. Aim for a little high percentile in order to increase the probability of conversion.
In case of SP Jain it has a fixed overall 85 percentile and you need to get atleast 70 percentile in each section. This will definitely get you a call from SP Jain but for real conversion aim for a very high percentile and even the interview process is in 3 stages and very rigourous.
So in short you have a very good profile so aim fir scoring at least above 98+ percentile to get calls from almost all IIMs and other top reputated colleges.
All the best for your exams!!
